Frank expands his business interests
Tweekums26 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Frank seems to have settled into life in Lillehammer and his business interests are expanding rapidly. After a 'minor dispute' with a creditor he finds himself owning the deeds to a luxury condominium in a new complex that is going to be built as soon as the owners can persuade a hippy farmer to let them run the sewage pipes through his land... of course Frank knows what to do in these situations and soon he isn't just the owner of a condominium but also a partner in the scheme. After a run in with local cop Geir "Elvis" Tvedt Frank learns that his US driving license isn't valid in Norway; he will have to take a local test and that means learning to drive a manual car. Geir has still got it in for Frank; not because he is up to his old Mafia tricks but because he is convinced that Frank is an Al Qaida terrorist; this leads to an awkward moment at the town's skiing competition when he thinks Frank is going to assassinate a politician... with what turns out to be a toy gun! If all this wasn't enough excitement we learn that Sigrid is pregnant.

Three episodes in and the laughs continue; some, such as Geir's belief that Frank is a terrorist are just plain funny, other moments do require you to think 'its just a TV show' so you can switch of your conscience and laugh as Frank, who is basically a bad man, does bad things to people who aren't so bad. Steven Van Zandt's performance as Frank helps this as the character is funny enough not too appear really unpleasant despite some of the things he does. The revelation that he is going to be a father should provide some interesting material for future episodes.
