Upcoming mid-season drama "Cult" is staffing up its show-within-a-show. Ben Hollingsworth, who starred as Chris on the network's short-lived "The Beautiful Life" back in 2009, is returning to The CW in a recurring role.
"Cult" is a super-meta thriller about a cult TV show with a dangerous tie to reality. It stars Matt Davis as Jeff, an investigative journalist whose work turns personal when his brother goes missing.
When Jeff discovers that his disappearance may be connected to the dark, rabid fanbase of the TV show, he enlists the help of the show's research assistant, Skye (Jessica Lucas). Hollingsworth will play Peter Grey, who works alongside Skye as an associate producer on the show in question.
Hollingsworth is also known for his role as Kyle Durant in the first season of "Suits," and he appeared in "Divine: The Series" with "Supernatural" star Misha Collins.
"Cult" began filming this week in Vancouver.
