There were three dark (non-televised) matches before the show. Papi Chulo (Jose Seldano) defeated Steve Bradley. Mideon (Dennis Knight) defeated Tom Howard (Thomas Howard). Val Venis (Sean Morley) defeated an unknown wrestler.
The Godfather (Charles Wright) had introduced Luna Vachon (Trudy Vachon) as his newest "Ho." Luna was shown backstage with The Ho Train, saying ominously that they were going to have a lot of fun. During the main event between Gangrel (David Heath) and The Godfather, Luna revealed that it was all a ruse by spitting blood in The Godfather's face to set up Gangrel winning the match. Heath and Vachon were married in real life at the time.
