If only they just went to die.
machetemassacre18 January 2016
The dead goes to die is a different animal. I believe it's 4/10 spot on IMDb is what it deserves. What starts out as a funny display in pure vulgar and morbid humor turns into a confusing and nauseating mess. But it takes great pride in twisting you into the nightmare. The emotional tones from one story to the next don't flow well at all. As stated it starts out as a guilty pleasure South Park humored display of bad taste, then switches gears to nonsensical confusion and finally lands on so disturbing there's no reason to go that far over the line. Serbian film is much easier to watch than the third segment of this. I wish it would have just gone along merrily with the distasteful humor rather than delving into such a bleak reality that you'll never want to watch it again. All in all you have to respect the effort and insanity of it all. Tread carefully!

Morbidly fascinating
TheRealMisterMan2 October 2019
Watched this with little to no background going in along with a few others. It's rough, both in content and actual quality, but it was still oddly fascinating enough that I watched through the entire thing. I certainly wouldn't recommend it for some, even most people, but I wouldn't write the entire thing off as being unwatachable garbage like some people seem to be doing.

You need to watch your step around here, Ralphy. You never know where you can end up.

Warning: Spoilers
I have no idea how I truly feel about this movie. It's graphic portrayal of taboo subjects like bestiality and child pornography make it hard to 'like' and I'm the first to admit I often mark down movies that are overly grim and mean spirited as I don't find much entertainment value in that sort of thing. Where the Dead Go to Die is easily one of the most demented movies I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot of crazy movies), but there's just something about it that intrigues me.

Where the Dead Go to Die tells the story of red-eyed demon dog, Labby, who visits three people who live in the same crazy neighbourhood.

First there's Tommy, a little boy who wants to know 'where babies come from.' He is convinced by Labby that his mother is pregnant with the Anti- Christ and witnesses him rip the unborn foetus from inside her and maim his father's genitalia. This is followed by disturbing imagery of Tommy having sex with Labby over his mother's rotting corpse.

Next, an injured prostitute happens upon an addict whose drug of choice is the liquidised memories of the dying. He murders her and takes a trip through her dying subconscious. Strangely enough, this disturbs more than some of the more 'taboo' themes in the movie as I find it so deeply troubling and sad watching the addict access memories of her childhood, knowing what she became and her fate.

And finally there's Ralph, a deformed kid who is in love with a little girl from his class at school, Sofia. Sofia is the star of her father's child porn movies. Ralph befriends Sofia and gains her trust until he is convinced to star in one her father's movies with her, with disastrous results.

I don't judge it too harshly for it's animation style, which reminds me of badly dubbed eighties video game animation, as I'm sure creator, "Jimmy ScreamerClauz" was aware of what the animation looked like as he was making it, so the style is a conscious artistic choice.

I feel like if it were live action or higher quality animation the disturbing subject matter would've been harder to digest and it would've been one of those mean spirited movies that I don't like.

In the end, I settled for a '5' rating because for all intents and purposes, it is a 'bad' movie but I find it too fascinating a piece of work to write it off completely.

The worst movie I've ever seen
AaronMendozaJr26 November 2015
Where The Dead Go To Die tries to tell you that it's being critical on religion and that it's something more but it's not. The entire film is a collection of loosely connected stories and none of them make any sense. Sometimes, you don't even know they're changing stories. The animation is some of the worst I've ever seen. There's no excuse for this. The voice acting is another awful thing. No one can voice act to save their life. They all sound like droids and lifeless zombies when they deliver their lines. There's absolutely not one solitary good thing about this movie. It's a complete insult to the film-making industry and to independent projects. The entire film looks like it came from the sick mind of Jeffrey Dahmer. I honestly believe that the director needs to see serious medical attention for his unstable mind. Where The Dead Go To Die is, to this day, the worst movie I've ever seen.

Why just why
punky-9331513 July 2018
I have seen so many terrible animated movies in my life like dorbees, rapsittie street kids, foodfight, and wolf tracer's dinosaur island. but this is just... TERRIBLE. the person who made this movie, Jimmy Screamerclaz is a really nice guy. although his animations are HORRIFIC. the animation looks like a eight year old made the models in Microsoft paint 3d. this is a anthology horror film with 3 stories. Tainted Milk, Liquid Memories, and The mask that the monsters wear. the thing is NONE OF THEM HAVE A COHERENT PLOT.I don't know what to say about this. If I could I would rate this 0/10. please never watch this movie. It makes Foodfight look like a masterpiece

These reviewers know nothing
lsouseisekil18 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I don't get how this film is "profound" or "what people NEED to see". First off, we have this disgusting looking windows95 cgi trash. The voices are goofy in a creepy way which just seems pretty much like a joke to me. Then there's the fact that this film is obviously meant to offend anyone Christian. Even if you're not Christian, everyone knows the devil is the bad guy and this film literally just roots for him full force. There's no realism. This is literally borderline child pornography and honestly should just be destroyed. These reviewers are hardcore goreheads who always want to push the button to the extreme. I know the type. Their reviews stink and don't show the actual nonsense that is this "film". What a joke. I mean for crying out loud, the director and writer is named JIMMY SCREAMERCLAUZ. This should be a giant red flag as to how herp derp and "extreme" this film is. Just another scrub trying to push the limits beyond and ending up with a garbage "film" or maybe I should say a garbage Satanic murder-child porn because that's what this is. Really not enjoyable.

I used to like movies until I watched this.
Linkengale17 April 2018
I don't like human beings anymore. This movie violates my will to exist and I am deeply offended. Instead of being scared or even disgusted the first "act" was just hilariously bad and then rest was just edgy, People hate this because they watched this alone but I watched it with my homies and none of us were pleased with anything aside from the emoji movie references. Which we enjoyed deeply.

2 Edgy 4 Me
drij25 November 2017
Combining the herky-jerky animation style of early 90s The Residents videos with the rantings of disturbed, lonely teenagers, this film so desperately wants to be a transgressive masterpiece. Instead, with its hamfisted portrayal of "taboo" subjects, it fails to hit any of its intended marks, and just comes off as a piece of sloppy garbage best suited for (and forgotten in) that weird part of YouTube.

Horribly Innovative
anthonymusiclovers7 June 2016
I'm not going to say that this is cinema for critics to rave about. I'm not even going to go as far as to say this is a sub par, or above average film; however, when it comes to "most disturbing films", this one packs the punch.

I'm not one to get creeped out or disturbed easily, so when I do find something interesting to say the least I usually run to my family and friends telling them about it. I enjoy seeing what others reactions are to films coined "most disturbing", but as far as this film; well, let's just say I won't be sitting on the couch with the folks watching this one. Where the Dead Go to Die is like a deep, dark secret, those who have seen the film may know what I mean when I say this. Basically, this is the type of movie you aren't going to recommend to your friends, you keep this one out of sight for anyone to see. Why? Because if your friends and family knew you say through this entire film without a gun to your head they may question your well being and may try and give you a nice prescription of Prozac. I've seen plenty of disturbing films, I like to think I've got a strong stomach. Maybe I'm just immune to the sickness, but I hardly ever find disturbing movies to be vulgar or downright disgusting. This one, however, is a bit different. From everything I've seen I truly believe this to be the most disturbing piece of cinema I have ever seen; I don't think any movie, not even classics like The Exorcist or A Clockwork Orange holds the slightest candlestick when it comes to disturbing, no, this film blows all others out of the water.

The plot? No idea. I've seen this film three times trying to understand it and I don't think I ever will. It's like watching every despicable act known to mankind on an acid trip. That's the best way I can describe it. As you've heard I'm sure the animation and voice overs are very poor and low quality. However, in my case, I found this to just add to the creepy atmosphere that this film has to offer. The character development is slow and never goes anywhere, but I don't really think it's supposed to. The bottom line of this plot is that terrible things happen to people and they will forever be effected by them.

As I said before, I wouldn't consider this film above average even, but it's something special. It's different and different is great. Different is a genre that triumphs over any other; this is why David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick are noted as some of the greatest directors of all time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the director, who goes by the name Jimmy ScreamerClauz, is going to be the director for a new generation, but what he did here was something you don't see everyday. I love innovation, and this horrid film is the definition of innovative and surreal. It's art. Some call it garbage, but even garbage can be art. Innovation and surrealism is art. Pushing the boundaries is artistic no matter how you look at it. Say what you want about this film, but you can't say it's not artistic because it is. Every work of cinema is art no matter how you look at it, and when it comes to abstract this film takes the cake.

Would I recommend this film to anyone? No. Do I like the movie? Absolutely. It's unique. I completely understand how people can hate this film, but I think this cinema should get recognition for crossing lines no other films have crossed.

Lets see if I can sum this movie up...
bigjohn19947124 January 2016
Imagine if someone made a concoction consisting of every hard drug imaginable (crack, heroin, LSD, etc) that was liquefied in a blender and consumed through the butt. Now imagine that person doesn't die, but instead makes an animated movie based on the absolutely messed up things he sees in his tripped out state.

That would be normal compared to Where The Dead Go To Die.

Don't see this movie. It should be illegal. Seriously, I don't think I could describe what happens in the film without worrying that I'll get arrested and become a registered sex offender. Yea, it's that kind of "movie." If I could give it a score lower than a 1, I would.

Incredibly Evil
rosemarysdead12 February 2021
I don't know how I watched this alone in the dark in my room and survived but I did. This movie is so evil I honestly felt like I was going to hell for watching it. It's so evil it makes Serbian Film look like it belongs on Disney Channel. DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE DISTURBED. I appreciate all of the evil, dark and bloody imagery in this movie. There were some parts I could've done without (not because they grossed me out but because they didn't really fit with the movie) but for the most part this was an incredibly gruesome dark nightmare. It felt like I was watching what hell looks like. A place so dark and depressing and dismal while simultaneously full to the brim with so much evil and gore you can't even begin to imagine it. I don't know how the guy who made the movie imagined it but I'm glad he did. There is a part with a bleeding girl I found very pretty and mesmerizing. But anyways, I'm giving this ten stars because it's the most evil thing I've ever seen and I'm sure it always will be. If you like shocking disturbing movies you'll probably like/be able to stomach this. If you don't STEER CLEAR. I liked it, it's way better than that edgy blurry garbage produced by Lucifer Valentine. This will actually give you nightmares and make your stomach hurt. Not for the faint of heart.

Where The Dead Go To Die
Skeelo_201628 December 2014
Let me start off with a brief synopsis of what this mind rape is about. Not that it'll make any sense. A group of children living on the same block are haunted by a demonic dog named Labby, who takes them on wild rides through hellish dimensions and time periods. Each child's story is told through anthology segments, each one as warped as the other. In the first segment, the dog tells a little boy that a demon fetus is living inside his mother, and God has ordered them to kill it. This leads to the murder of the boys parents followed by bestiality in the name of the big man upstairs. The second segment is about a guy who can steal peoples memories when they're dying and insert them into his own mind, which is actually a really cool idea that the director should develop on in future. The third act is about a little boy trying to court a little girl who is being forced to star in pornographic films directed by her father.

Now you understand why I was so uneasy about watching this? The premise makes it sound like the most depraved movie of all time, created by an unhealthy mind, for the viewing pleasure/displeasure of sick freaks and masochists. It makes A Serbian Film look like Walt Disney. It might just be the most mean spirited and inherently evil piece of trash ever created in all forms of ''art.'' To be honest it probably is, and I can understand why people would be offended, but to me it was just too ridiculous and confusing to affect me like that. The animation really takes the sting out of it, plus some of the dialogue is quite clearly meant to be taken as dark comedy. The animation itself isn't exactly the quality of Pixar, but it works in its favor. The imagery is surreal, violent and nightmarish. Kinda like if David Lynch was directing a Splatterhouse video game. A nightmare is the best way to describe Where The Dead Go To Die, because despite the creepy visuals, it really makes no sense at all.

This is a sick film, but it had too much taboo breaking shock value to make it effective for me. That being said, it was a cinematic equivalent of a bizarre acid trip and I enjoyed it. The director Jimmy Screamerclauz has stated that he come up with most of his ideas under the influence of drugs and the movie has no intentions of making a point. It's essentially just a surreal, confusing experience that's so over-the-top it's hard to take seriously. I liked the animation style, but it didn't pack a punch at all. Screamerclauz has some great ideas in his twisted mind, and I feel if he worked on creating a consistent narrative he could really make some animated horror masterpieces.

You probably shouldn't watch this. I mean it is really messed up, but coming from a guy who doesn't enjoy Unearthed Films, this wasn't all that bad. I don't like extreme movies that exist purely to make people feel uncomfortable by degrading people, but I liked Where The Dead Go To Die for its absurdity. Don't watch if you're Christian.

God-awful
missmollydolly23 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Worse than Foodfight. This movie is incredibly messed up, there is no plot, the voice-acting is horrible, the animation is horrible (Scary Godmother levels of animation), the characters are edgy and horrible, everyone is evil, everything is evil, I have seen hell itself. I only watched twelve minutes out of morbid curiosity to see if it truly was bad, before I noped out. Underage sex, necrophilia, and bestiality all compiled into one scene is what made me leave. Only about nine minutes into the movie did the little boy (Tommy) have sexual intercourse with the dog (Labby), while the dog had sex with his dead mother. Early on in the movie, the dog bit off the dad's penis and tore the 'devil fetus' out of the mother's vagina. What in God's name is this movie, seriously. Definitely not recommended... curiosity killed the cat, I suppose. And a little boy's parents. And a prostitute. And a bunch of other people.

The Queen Mother of All Bad Animated Films!
rockndaparadise6 January 2019
If you're an animation fan, and you've been on a search for the worst animated movie ever made, then your search has ended! If you were to ask a casual animation fan what the worst animated film ever made was, what would they most likely say? The Emoji Movie? The animated Titanic movies? The Tom & Jerry movie? Norm of the North? Doogal? Mars Needs Moms? Maybe Disney's direct-to-video sequels? Or perhaps one of those knock-off films like Ratatoing? Ha! Those are child's play compared to this movie! Nothing can hold a candle to the horrors that await you in Where the Dead Go to Die! Not even Foodfight! Yes, I have seen Foodfight! And at the time, I thought I had seen it all. I thought for sure that was the worst animated film ever made, but Where the Dead Go to Die really takes the cake! Seriously, if you thought Foodfight was a horrible atrocity, look again! This movie makes Foodfight look like Zootopia! It's a horrifying story with the worst animation ever put to film, and showing so much content that I am shocked that they even got away with even showing it! Even South Park is tame compared to the material shown here! What's even worse is that this movie has somehow managed to gain a cult following! Yes, there are people out there who actually like this movie! Now, I'm usually one to respect other people's opinions even if I don't agree with them, but how can anyone actually possibly like watching something so dark, so badly-made and so graphic??? The most common argument I get about stuff like this is "It's an art form." No! This is NOT art! This is just OBSESSION! Words cannot even describe how horrible this movie is! To all you animation fans out there, if you haven't seen this movie, then avoid it at all costs! No matter how curious you may be, just stay away from this movie by all means! This is an animation fan's worst nightmare, and it will forever haunt you in your sleep! I mean, if you want to see Foodfight just to see how bad it is, then be my guest, but Where the Dead Go to Die must not be viewed my ANYONE! This is not a recommendation! This is a WARNING! I am warning you for your own safety! If you set eyes on this film, trust me, you will be traumatized for life!

pure garbage in 3d form

Warning: Spoilers
OK i am a horror fan i love intelligent story and gore i am also an animation fan who loves adult oriented animated films. so to some folks they would believe i would love this well they would be wrong, i hated this peace of filth i have never been so disgusted by something in my life if you ever wondered what a serial killer/ pedophile/ snuff film producer would create if they had the time to make a animated film well it's this the guy who made this is not a horror film maker trying to create something to push the envelop of taboos that our society tries to ignore, not this dude he is sick and might be a danger to others i hope he has no contact with children and animals. the only thing i can give him credit for is trying to deal with some tough issues that need to be talked about/faced in more media such as the hypocrisy of religion, child abuse both metal and physical, the cruelty and disgusting actions preformed by the so called " upstanding members of our society" done when they are behind closed doors and animal cruelty but he just uses these things to live out his sick and twisted fantasies on "film" i fear for anyone who lives/know him because their lives might be in danger. this person is not mentally disturbed,or suffers from a disorder that warps his brain to think these things without their control, no that would be a insult to the poor individuals who suffer from metal illness heck no this guy suffers from brain damage his mind must be fried or injured in some way to think a part in which a young boy having sex with a dog over the corpses of his dead parents is a good thing to create, i hope the FBI has this guy on watch because i i feel people are in danger i also would not be surprised if he makes snuff films and kiddie porn on the side. if i could describe this film it's like if someone took one of those bad mock buster animated cartoons from Brazil shoved it into a blender with puke, excrement, bile, rotting pieces of carcass from a dead beached whale, ans spam mixed it with elephant whiz and top it all off with a cancer rotted sheep eye it still would not measure the putrid concept of this" thing" even Cthulhu would call this "a horrid abomination that should not exist"

thank you all and to the man who made this bile a big f you to him never make another movie in your life and find a nice secluded island with plenty of food to last you for the rest of your life and live there please excuse my horrible writing abilities

Thank to Animats I seen his review of this movie and let me tell ya the film made no sense whatsoever. The animation was horrible, the story makes no sense AT ALL,there is way too much swearing and horrible gory moments in this film. You think Twilight,The Legend Of The Titanic was awful well look no further than this piece of crap to come out since 2012.

This is a pure insult to movie history. Also you think Fifty Shades Of Grey was awful well think again. The whole film has No dialouge at all only some idiot narrating and swearing and all this gory rubbish happening. Now if you excuse me I think I need to watch a film that will help me clear my mind with this piece of crap.

The Worst film I will likely ever see
deathoforion4 September 2016
I'm quite young and I have many more movies to see in my lifetime but I really think that this will remain as the worst movie I have ever seen. I don't think that I will ever see a movie more hateful. The experience of watching this film could not have been more negative. On top of the fact that it depicted such things as the mistreatment of children, beastiality, incest and genital mutilation, it gave me a headache. There is nothing redeemable about it. The plot and sequence of events are bizarre and in-cohesive. It has no other aim then to shock for the sake of shock. The animation is ugly. The voice acting is dreadful. I've never watched something that made me hate everyone responsible for making it but here we are.

Its nasty, incomprehensible, lazy, ugly and hateful. There is no hole deep enough to bury this films existence. Its also a shame that I can't prevent you from watching it. Please. Don't.

jeremiah_dansereau4 December 2021
This movie is an abomination unto God, Beastuality, Rape, Murder, Mutilation, EVERY perversion ever fathomed appears in this. While films like Hellraiser, or Silent Hill have things unspeakable, they are depected in context of a story, WTDGTD does not, its horrible animation appears as mindless obsenity. THIS IS A CREEPYPASTA IN REAL LIFE!!!!!!!

Heed my warning, dont watch this movie!

Silent Hill meets Gummo with the ambitious intellect of Enter The Void
This is what the Silent Hill film should have felt like. Perhaps not with such over-the-top, disturbing content and subject matter - but the atmosphere and creativity of this film is 100% dead on - couldn't possibly be more shocking, discomforting, confusing, or eerie. It just reminds me of the very first time I played the first couple of Silent Hill games - that's why I was talking about the film as well. Not many things that exist match this level of creative darkness.

The actual subject matter truly takes it to the next level in a few areas as well - we'll just say brutal gore and sexual scenarios involving people who should not be in sexual scenarios with each other. That is the aspect that reminded me of Gummo and other similar films by similar filmmakers such as Harmony Korine or Larry Clark. Couldn't get much more offensive or disturbing.

Now, one of the only flaws in the entire movie is a few of the voice actors are a little hard to deal with - but that's not enough to even force me to give it a 9 instead of a 10. This is a one-of-a-kind experience, and it's surreal - bad voice acting just adds to the absurdity of it.

The concepts are extremely innovative and thought provoking - offering perspectives you most likely would not have thought of before involving God, death, and .... well, the damaged psyche.

I'm not going to lie. I think this is my choice for "Best Film of 2012" thus far.

Props mr. ScreamerClauz .... (that name... are you serious?)

Tried to have a message, Failed
mikeywelsh7116 March 2024
Watching this twice and knowing a bit of the background, yes its poorly made, disturbing and almost seems as if its a fetish movie.

No this movie was not made to fetish anything shown in it. It was made as a comedy at the beginning (Tainted Milk) so the other two chapters were just kinda added on to become a movie.

It was made from victims (Having Emily Youcis be in it and also make labby is a dead give away). BUT this doesn't mean it has a excuse. Its still a disgusting movie that I feel a little sympathy for since he was only learning how to make films while making it (movie animation progressively getting better each chapter) and whatever it was trying to do executed terribly.

Don't waste your time on this better than some movies ive seen, its still bad. It had potential but failed.

A film from hell
athmet-5492117 May 2015
When I watched the review on AniMats the worst animated movie ever; I thought it was going to be about Foodfight or one of the Titanic animated movies, but no. It happened on accident when he talked about Where The Dead Go To Die and he warned me not to watch it ever in my life! When he started to talk about it, I couldn't believe that a human being can actually make something so "unholy" that is poorly animated and tells a story about these kids and nightmarish staring to happen. These disturbing, Satanic and disgusting images haunted me when I watch the review and I burst our crying and scared to go to sleep. This movie should be banned, illegal and be destroyed and the creator should be locked up.

This ain't Pixar folks
asda-man13 September 2016
This review is going to be subjective because I'm not like most people who get scared by horror films like The Exorcist or The Shining. I get scared by strange things. Things that bury themselves into your psyche and fester for a long time. That's why I'm such a fan of David Lynch's surreal films and why (what most people would describe as) an unwatchable mess like Inland Empire is a frightening masterpiece to me. Similarly, some people find videos of glitches from The Sims hilarious, whereas I find them chilling with those strange and nightmarish impossible contortions. Where the Dead Go to Die is like one big Sims glitch.

Many will see it as an atrociously animated and badly voice acted mess, and they wouldn't be wrong. This has to be the worst animation ever committed to film. In fact, it looks as though it was made on The Sims with a few disturbing expansion packs which allow your sims to woohoo with animals and travel to a kaleidoscopic hell. This will make the film borderline unwatchable for some people, but for me it made it all the more horrifying. Likewise, a little boy being voiced by a man mimicking a screechy child's voice is much more frightening to me than being voiced by an actual child. It's extremely uncomfortable as it feels like we're watching something Satanic that shouldn't be watched.

Where the Dead Go to Die has to be one of the most disturbing films I have ever seen and I don't get too disturbed easily either. This film is up there with Salo, Martyrs and all he rest. If it was a live action production then I'm pretty sure that the anonymous director, who goes by Jimmy ScreamerClauz, would be arrested. Whilst the animation is beyond poor, the ideas are still there and these ideas are seriously messed up. I don't want to spoil it for people who want to experience this mind fudge, but there are some depraved ideas involving children which are explored explicitly in this film. They may only look like blobs, but that didn't make it any less upsetting to watch, for me at least. Especially combined with the horrifying musical score in the background.

I feel like I should delve into the story a little bit. Where the Dead Go to Die is an anthology film which follows three characters living in the same neighbourhood (I think) who all come in contact with a demonic dog. The first segment tells the story of a boy who is convinced by the dog to kill his mother's unborn child as it's the antichrist. This story certainly gives you a taste of things to come. It's just utter madness with some terribly disturbing ideas and images thrown in. The second story kind of lost me a bit, but it concerns a man who steals people's memories after killing them. It's the weakest story and is mainly an excuse to go overboard on the hellish, surreal imagery. The last story is the strongest and most disturbing. It concerns a neglected boy with his dead Siamese twin's head stuck to the side of his face, who falls in love with a little girl. Needless to say, she harbours some very dark secrets at home.

You can try and think about the absolute sickest thing in the world and this film will show you worse. I can't decide whether I liked it or not. You could argue that it's a film designed to shock you for the sake of it, but there is actually a story here (several actually) and I'd argue that this Jimmy ScreamerClauz bloke actually prioritises the story over the moments of depravity. This isn't like August Underground where it's just one sick pointless scene trying to outdo the other. The disturbing themes do actually have something to do with the surreal story, particularly in the last segment. There's a moment where I was almost moved to tears, just due to the intensity of the concept presented on screen. The relentless bleakness also started to get to me after a while.

Where the Dead Go to Die is not a good film on a technical level, but it's unlike anything I have ever seen. There's no denying that it's innovative, whether that's in a good way or not. It does get bogged down in its moments of relentless surreal glitchy imagery, but when it focuses, I found myself strangely captivated. On one hand I find the film trashy and stupid but on the other I find it startling and original. It's an endlessly dark, depraved and upsetting film. It disturbed me, horrified me and affected me both emotionally and physically. It's a film which I won't ever forget, and that has to be worth something doesn't it?

sick bastards. I couldn't help that feeling, while watching this "movie", was that this was all some kind of inside joke that badly translates into pure nastiness when passed onto others. While making this movie im sure the creators were sitting around laughing saying "awe man make the dog rip the baby out of the mom and then rape the moms corpse while the child sticks it in his butt....hahahaha" but when you make something like that and then pass it on too total strangers, its not funny. At least not for me. So in my opinion pretty much all of the dark humor is totally lost on this one. As for the shock factor, there is nothing else that comes close to this movie that I have seen. That's saying a lot especially for an animated film, i'd hate to see what these sickos would do with some live action actors. This movie is pure nastiness, intentionally so and on that level they succeed. They definitely pushed my limits more than any other film, I thought "a Serbian film" "human centipede 2" and "father's day" were all nasty but this is on another level. What I did like about this movie though was the depiction of hell and all the crazy demon creatures. It was quite imaginative and cool too watch however the film still became unwatchable. I have to admit I fast forwarded close to half of the film, it saddens me to say this but it just turned me off and I even gave it two chances. The demon dogs voice was really annoying to me and wrecked the whole flow of the film, I hated when he spoke. All in all its kind of a movie that a gore/horror/shock cinema hound like myself has too see because it pushes to envelope so hard. I like to be reminded that I do have limits and films like this one have a sort of gravitational pull that I cant resist. On that level the movie succeeds and does deserve some credit but its just too dirty to be called a good movie. I don't regret giving it a chance.
