Director Bart van Dekken stepped in a large piece of glass during shooting. Luckily for him he was wearing sneakers with a thick sole so he did not get injured.
The filming location is an old abandoned factory where they used to make gunpowder, controlled by another, larger firm named Muiden Chemie international bv. Purely by coincidence, actor Erwin de Koning was a former employee of the latter. Muiden Chemie shut its doors in 2004 on the 29th of June.
During filming of a couple of scenes, a Dutch (actually Frisian) team of reporters (Froeks TV) were present to shoot a promo, and one of them, Ricardo Brouwer, was asked to act. He agreed enthusiastically, only to cry out an hour later during makeup because they almost drowned him in very sweet syrup.
Director Bart van Dekken met with Erwin de Koning because van Dekken Googled his own name and discovered that de Koning had opened a thread about him on a Dutch horror forum where he is an administrator (www.cinema-extreme.com). The topic of the thread is about a movie he made a couple of years before - Frisian Terror namely Maniacs Revolt. He very much liked the attention and contacted Erwin de Koning via MSN messenger and asked him how he felt about doing a small part in his untitled new movie. The reply was 'HELL YESSS!!'
