  Cullen Bohannan : Antietam it is, then.

  Griggs : I was with the 51st Pennsylvania. Me and my boys took the Burnside Bridge. We softened them Rebs up with a light howitzer from the east bank. Then we stormed that bridge like hounds from hell. Shoulda seen them graybacks run. Yes, sir. Them boys got the skinny end of the horn that day.

  Cullen Bohannan : Yeah, I was on the other side of the bridge that day.

  Griggs : That so?

  Cullen Bohannan : Yep. Wanna know why we retreated? We was outta ammunition. From killin' Yankees. Now don't get me wrong, they was some brave men. Brave men. But General McClellan might just as well've been sendin' 'em up against a firing squad. They kept chargin'... we kept shootin'. Like fish in a bloody barrel. Time we was done, there was a bridge of bodies across that river. Yeah. That musta been when you finally come acrossed. When all the killin' was done. Yeah. Y'know, we musta put down 500 Yankees that day. So... you wanna call that a glorious victory? You go ahead.

  Griggs : Five hundred... a thousand... ten thousand... it doesn't matter.

  [Cullen doesn't respond] 

  Griggs : Hey. Hey!

  [Cullen turns to look at him] 

  Griggs : [chuckles]  We won. And you lost. And I got the sword right here to prove it.

  Cullen Bohannan : [sighs]  Yeah... well... guess I'm just gonna have to take it off you and shove it up your ass, then.

  Griggs : Yeah, is that so?

  [they both step forward and get in each other's faces, but Elam gets between them and pushes them apart]
