- Quotes
[first lines]
Cotton Marcus: There's a whole bunch of people out there who are definitely convinced that they are possessed.
- Alternate versionsWhen originally released theatrically in the UK and US, the BBFC and MPAA made cuts to secure a '15' rating in the UK and a 'PG-13' rating in the US. These cuts totaled around 44 seconds and were a couple of innocuous changes. The cuts are to a scene where Neil slits his throat and Chris tries to stem the blood loss. All cuts were waived later in 2013 for the DVD and Blu-Ray releases in both the UK and US with '15' (uncut) and unrated ratings applied accordingly.

Even the evil spirits will be bored by this film
New Pope Francis 1 should ban exorcism films as they insult the intelligence of viewers.
This film is so boring and derivative. What's the big deal about Nell floating above her bed.
She hears the usual weird noises and sees funny things, typical in all exorcism films.
This film plods along at a leisurely pace until the exorcism, which is so weird that you have to see it to believe it.
WHO brings a heart monitor, a chicken and salt to an exorcism???? Ha ha.
