This show 'gets it"
tjglenn10 April 2012
The Adventures of Superseven is just straight up a hoot! It filters all those spy shows and movies from the sixties and seventies like Get Smart, Man From Uncle, and I Spy and the colorful eurospy films, mixes in Mexican Wrestler and superhero films and just makes it all somehow come together!! The action is good, the acting consistently funny and spot on and it actually has more than talking heads like most web series. Real stunts!! Real fights!! and--hot babes!!!! Jerry Kokich who plays Superseven does it with a perfectly straight face that is hilarious. And Olivia Dunkley who plays Sandra West has a killer delivery that had perfect comic timing. Last, but not least, Anne Leighton who plays the grease monkey Sparky with a Walter Mitty like dream life is as perfectly timed a comedian/actress as there can be. And she manages to be sexy while smeared with car grease!

A blast from the past!
phantom-2031 May 2012
A show for those who remember fondly things like, "Superargo", Matt Helm, "Our Man Flint", "Get Smart", "Man From UNCLE", "Wild, Wild West", Euro spy flicks, Mexican wrestling movies and so on!

"Adventures Of Superseven" was created by Scott Rhodes, a veteran stuntman (And spy fan), who suffered an injury related stroke in late 2007. He created the series as part of his therapy and to remain functional in the industry as a writer, director, editor and stunt coordinator.

The series is perfectly cast. Jerry Kokich IS Superseven. Olivia Dunkley IS Sandra West (Great granddaughter of James West and granddaughter of Honey West!) and Anne Leighton IS Sparky! Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez shines as the evil nemesis, "Thunderpussy".The show mixes comedy with action and a body count, much the same way "Get Smart" does.

If you like nostalgia, babes, bullets and action, you may want to give Superseven a view!

Great show should be on TV!

I've seen every episode and own the DVD's and I am convinced of one thing. "Adventures Of Superseven" should be a weekly, half hour TV series. And not on network, because they just wouldn't get it and wind up screwing it up. It belongs on Comedy Central or Adult Swim or FX or some such network. It is clearly a homage and love letter to the spy shows and movies of the 1960's. The series is influenced and pays homage to such things as James Bond, Matt Helm, Flint, Eurospy movies, "Get Smart", "The Avengers", "Man From UNCLE", "Mission: Impossible", masked wrestling movies, the Kaiju genre and much more. A 60's spy-geek junkie's dream series. Stunts, fights, action, sexy women, gadgets and a hefty body count for a comedy! The entire cast is wonderful, especially Jerry Kokich as Superseven, Olivia Dunkley as Sandra West (Politically incorrect and doing all those things you wish Emma Peel would do, if she weren't so British and nice!) and Anne Leighton as the ditsy mechanical genius, Sparky. I know it's on Youtube and even won a bunch of awards, but seriously, with soooo much garbage on TV, this really needs to be a TV series and soon!

I Spy Retro Fun!

Shining like a beacon through the abyss of dull, uninspired web series comes "The Adventures of Superseven", a nano-budget sendup of swingin' 60's spy thrillers! This multi-award-winning cyberspace serial consistently belies its budget, delivering more entertainment in ten minutes than many of today's Summer blockbusters can muster in two hours!

"Superseven" is a labor of love, and it shows. Writer/director/producer/creator Scott Rhodes, an avid fan of/virtual encyclopedia of knowledge on all things 60's spy, has taken his affinity for this genre and injected it into every facet of the series. "Superseven" is replete with echoes of "James Bond", "Get Smart", "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", "The Avengers", "The Prisoner", and countless other lesser known spy sagas of yesteryear. Make no mistake, however - "Superseven" is no mere pastiche of tongue-in-cheek homages; it is an inspired, original romp with a style and flavor all its own.

Series star Jerry Kokich is a joy to watch in the role of the eponymous superspy hero. Channeling the likes of Adam West and William Shatner, Kokich brings the perfect amount of deadpan savvy to the character.

The lovely and talented Olivia Dunkley co-stars as the sultry "Sandra West", alternately Seven's foil/love interest.

Rounding out the cast of regulars is up-and-comer Anne Leighton, who utterly sparkles as the adorable "Sparky", Seven's trusty mechanic and unrequited admirer.

Zany and fun recurring characters like the villainous "Thunderpussy" (Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez) compliment the series leads.

Oh, yes - the work behind the camera matches the talent in front of it. "Superseven" is expertly shot and edited, and features impressive stunt work coordinated by Rhodes himself (an accomplished veteran stuntman).

Veteran FX wiz Doug Drexler chips in with top-notch digital effects.

Smart, action-packed and rife with laughs, this spirited valentine to 60's spy thrillers proves heart and imagination can outshine the biggest budget.

Whether or not you are a fan of the genre, "The Adventures of Superseven" is one web series worth checking out!

Wow! Reliving my childhood!

I stumbled on this excellent web series, as I was surfing the net. I saw a photo of a Superargo type masked hero holding a WWII machine gun standing next to a hot blonde in a mini skirt holding an UZi! I followed the photo to a website, where I was introduced to all 39 episodes of this 1960's spy homage! It tool me back to all of those great 60's spy shows and movies of my kidhood. All the references and spoofs are there. Action, comedy, beautiful women, gadgets, stock footage, zany plots, etc. I felt like I was 12 again, watching Eurospy movies on the Late, Late show! The cast is wonderful: Jerry Kokich is spot on as the hero "Superseven"(with an obvious nod to Adam West), Olivia Dunkley is the beautiful and lethal as "Sandra West"(Granddaughter of "Honey West" and great, great granddaughter of "James West"), she is like Emma Peel (except that she will kill someone without hesitation...And yes, it is a comedy!). Anne Leighton is adorable and hilarious as "Sparky", Superseven's ditzy/genius engineer, who has a terminal crush on him. Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez rounds out the cast as the nefarious "Thunderpussy"..Yes, "THUNDERPUSSY" and gets to show off her numerous stunt, language and music skills. Everyone in the cast is wonderful, down to the numerous guest spots. They even got Barbara Luna from Star Trek's "Mirror Mirror" to play the head villainess "Sue Muru" in an episode! They also got the music right, which really kicks some 60's lounge style ass. This is a damn cool show and easily my favorite web series. The writers and directors get it and hit the bullseye with this series...It should be a night time half hour comedy series on cable. It is far better than most of the dreck on TV today.

What a Fun Series!

Great, great spy spoof! Very clever and so many fun references to the spy genre of the 60's that sometimes it's hard to keep up! I just discovered this show along with its Sandra West Diaries spin off. Double shows are wonderfully acted and have great action sequences. Dialog is sharp and witty.

My only complaint is that the episodes are much too short!

Great fun, especially after a long day at work.

Not for anyone that takes things too seriously but hilarious for those you enjoy tongue and cheek take offs on the serous business of fighting the good fight.
