Had the pleasure of being invited to the Berlin Premiere. I know little about the film other than it was a SciFi/VFX based short film.
It is possibly one of the most engaging short films I have seen in years. Directed by Marcus Hanisch and produced by Monsta Movies they have collaborated and produced a fascinating story. There are always down sides - and the only one I can think of is what happens to the girl after being given the key with the information? It's a futuristic look at totalitarian control, a mind game that the people can not and will not be allowed to understand. It identifies (for me) with the US ideology that fear within controls the masses. It's Ten years since 9/11 - I think this is a great piece to watch in light of that anniversary - and make a few scary comparisons.
Am sure this will do well on the festival circuit - The only other thing to add to this gushing review is that it is rare that a no dialogue film works - This does and those requires no subtitles or stupid dubbing.
