"I'd appreciate it if you did not get angry with me right now for trying to help us through a situation that you created"

Warning: Spoilers
Marilyn continues to be bereft without George and, as is often the case, ends up taking it out on Roo.The way she spends half the episode without make-up on is presumably meant to indicate her mental state and it's a relief when Sid snaps and points out that she brought all the trouble to their family.

April's overprotective attitude towards Dexter when Xavier indulges in some friendly teasing is annoying and Dexter's annoyed retort is enjoyable. There seems to be an attempt to normalise Dex at the moment, having him moping around after a girl like any other teenage boy, which is frustrating given that up until now he's been a genuinely different character.

John again proves to be one of the show's assets with his desperate attempts to coax Gina through a menopause that seems to exist solely in his head, to the extent of arranging an intimate dinner for Gina and Colleen. There's also some nice stuff with Elijah and Laura, whilst Bianca going on a date with Heath is surprisingly funny.
