The episode of Revisited covering Wrong Turn 2: Dead End was Written by Emilie Black, Edited by Juan Jimenez, Narrated by Niki Minter, Produced by Tyler Nichols and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
A long, long time ago, in a state deep in the woods, a bunch of people were eaten by cannibal hillbillies in a film called Wrong Turn. Soon, the locals to where the film was taking place got very angry about the depiction of their fellow mountain and wood residents, which they thought gave them a bad name. Horror fans responded by seeing the film anyways, making it a minor hit. The first film had a budget of $12.6 million and made $28.7 million at the box office. While this may lead to a sequel at times, it was not a given. Fast forward to 4 years later and we are gifted with the first of a long series of sequels.

What’s a season of “Black Mirror” without the superstar cast?
Just yesterday it was revealed that Rory Culkin (Scream 4, Lords of Chaos, Signs) had joined the show’s sixth season.
Today, Variety reports that Salma Hayek Pinault and Annie Murphy are also in talks to star.
Variety previously revealed that the new season has also signed Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan.
Season 6 would have more episodes than Season 5, which comprised of just three installments and starred Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus, notes the site.
Created by Charlie Brooker, “Black Mirror” is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion. A Billy Joel biopic is on its way — and the Piano Man himself has nothing to do with it. On Wednesday, Michael Jai White’s Jaigantic Studios greenlit the film, titled Piano Man, despite Joel refusing to grant rights to his music, name, and likeness.
A rep for the singer tells Rolling Stone that “Billy Joel is not involved with this film project” and that he has no plans to give access to his music and life story.

Don Everly, who with his brother, Phil, was part of the Everly Brothers, a huge chart success in the late 1950s and early 1960s that grew into Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, died on Saturday at his home in Nashville. He was 84.
A family spokesman confirmed the death to The Los Angeles Times. No cause was given.
The duo were one of the first pop-rock acts to emerge from Nashville, and became instant hitmakers on the strength of the soaring harmonies in such songs as “Wake Up Little Susie” and “Cathy’s Clown.” They became a major influence on everything to follow, from the British Invasion through the Southern California county-rock scene.
Their harmonies on such hits as “Bye Bye Love” and “All I Have To Do Is Dream” are timeless and unforgettable. Don Everly usually sang lead, with his brother handling the higher harmony.

“You thought I wouldn’t notice,” cartel boss Elena Sánchez (Salma Hayek) demands of her loyal caporegime Ludo (a physically and emotionally imposing Benicio del Toro). The brutal and effective killer does not defend himself when the head of his family, and boss of bosses, slaps him with the force of a bull whip. He doesn’t even flinch. That would mean death. Oliver Stone’s Savages may not be his most renowned mob movie offering, but Hayek’s drug lord is one of cinema’s most groundbreaking gangsters.
Stone is no stranger to iconic gangsters. He wrote the screenplay for Brian De Palma’s Scarface, which brought Al Pacino’s coke-fueled Cuban political asylum seeker, Tony Montana, into celluloid’s perennial rogue’s gallery. For his 2012 cartel twist of a gangster film, Savages, Stone let Hayek reset the template. Her Elena Sánchez is street smart, tech savvy and a wiz at business.

The insider adds the singer, 31, “has been in L.A. so they can spend time together.”
“His daughter is in school so he can’t travel right now,” says the source of Everly, 6, his child with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.

With great lead performances by Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving, a great musical score by Steve Moore, and great bloody action masterminded by director Joe Lynch, Mayhem is almost too much fun. It's the perfect example of a movie that knows what it is and is more than happy to deliver that to an audience eager to devour it. Lynch burst onto the genre scene with Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, a direct-to-video sequel that was far better than it had any right to be. More recently, Everly featured Salma Hayek in a furiously entertaining action picture that, again, exceeded expectations. Mayhem spreads that same action spirit out over a larger cast trapped in an office building after an outbreak of the so-called 'red eye'...

If you’ve been wondering what fan favourite actor Steven Yeun has been up to since the infamous and brutal death of his character on The Walking Dead, wonder no more. Here he is, gloriously and deservedly front and centre in a new batch of photos for an upcoming action-horror movie about workplace frustrations, and how to work them out. It’s called Mayhem and is directed by Joe Lynch (Everly), from a script written by Matias Caruso (in his feature length debut).
If the pics below put you in mind of 2016’s The Belko Experiment, you’re not incorrect. Both focus their action around violence between people trapped in an office environment for an extended period of time. However, there is one important difference.

I've got a crazy-ass trailer for a balls-to-the-walls action film called Mayhem that is just insanely brutal! The movie is described in one of the reviews as a being like The Office meets The Purge. This is a pretty hardcore trailer that doesn't seem to hold back on the violence. You've got blood splatting all over the place!
As far as the story goes, it centers around an office building full of people being exposed to a deadly virus that causes the infected people to lose their inhibitions and go crazy. The kind of crazy that makes them want to kill each other. It also follows a recently fired employee played by Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and a wronged client who have to fight their way through the madness. It looks like an incredibly entertaining flick worth watching, especially if you're into bloody violent movies.

Bring down the whole damn house! Indie filmmaker Joe Lynch's (Everly, Knights of Badassdom) new film is another violent, deranged, totally crazy, totally fun film titled Mayhem. The title, which is a bit vague, doesn't have much to do with the plot - which is actually about a guy who works at a sleazy legal corporation that decides to take on the executives when a virus causes everyone to go crazy. I saw this film at 1Am with a crowd of horror fans at the Sitges Film Festival, which is the perfect time and place to see this kind of film, because they cheered at all the right moments. If you watch this one at home, it just won't hit as hard, but it's still a thoroughly entertaining horror action comedy mashup with a worthwhile message at the end of it. The concept for Mayhem is fairly simple, enriched with some fun characters.

If Jean-Luc Godard really meant it when he said “All you need to make a movie is a girl and a gun”, how come he never made a movie with just a girl and a gun? Vivre Sa Vie might just about scrape through, but Godard basically took it as read that there would be a guy in the mix.
Hollywood, on the other hand, has started to take Godard’s maxim literally. We have had countless “girl and gun” movies recently, and virtually none have stuck. Ripp is no stranger to the world of indie filmmaking, as he’s produced movies like Joe Lynch’s Everly and Gambit, and has both directed and produced in the world of television. His newest project follows a teenager named Alex (Luca Oriel) who crosses paths with a mysterious box containing a demonic presence, and he mistakenly unleashes the sinister spirit, which wreaks havoc on Alex’s life and forces him to confront the evil that looks to consume his very soul.
During our interview, Ripp discussed the inspiration behind his approach to Devil’s Whisper, finding Oriel for his lead, and more.

Filmmaker Joe Lynch recently enjoyed a well-received world premiere of his new movie Mayhem (read Heather's review here) at the SXSW Film Festival, and true to form, the Holliston co-star is showing no signs of slowing down, as he's now set to direct the horror film Taste from a screenplay by David Cohen, the screenwriter behind 2012's No One Lives.
Deadline reports the news of Lynch taking the directing reins on Taste, which will be produced by Erin Eggers, Chase Hudson and Matthew Porter of Penchant Entertainment, with Cohen on board to produce as well.
Filming on Taste is slated to start in Los Angeles this summer with a food-centric (and potentially cannibalistic) plot (via Deadline):
"When a young chef-on-the-rise is invited to cook for a revered master’s private supper club, what at first seems like a career-launching opportunity soon turns deadly with the discovery that she and...

We love Joe Lynch here at Bloody Disgusting. Not only was he behind the super fun Wrong Turn sequel, but he directed Salma Hayek in the Die Hard-esque Everly, and went LARPing with Knights of Badassdom. Next up is Mayhem, which pairs Lynch with “The Walking Dead” star Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving, an Australian actress who toplines McG’s upcoming horror movie The Babysitter. In Mayhem, […]...

Throughout his career, filmmaker Joe Lynch has given us fantastic movies that have spanned both the horror and action genres, including Wrong Turn 2, the "Zom-b-Movie" segment of Chillerama, Knights of Badassdom, Everly, and his latest movie, Mayhem, which recently enjoyed its world premiere at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival.
Written by Matias Caruso, Mayhem follows a corporate attorney named Derek (Steven Yeun), who's trapped inside his office building with hundreds of fellow employees during a viral outbreak that causes the infected to be unable to control their primal urges. Chaos ensues as the co-workers begin to wage war against each other the longer the virus rages on.
Daily Dead had the chance to speak with Lynch after the first SXSW screening of Mayhem in Austin, and he chatted about the trepidation he felt going into the film’s world premiere, the journey to getting Mayhem made, working with Yeun, and more.

Dario Argento’s most personal film is also his most insane.
According to Susan Sontag (as paraphrased by 80s All Over co-host Scott Weinberg), camp is defined is failed seriousness. That insight not only speaks volumes to what the Junkfood Cinema podcast admires about certain cult and b-movies, but also brings into sharp focus the bizarre paradox of Dario Argento’s 1985 psychic giallo thriller Phenomena; a movie so bizarre that most people don’t recognize how personal a film it was for its director…and how legitimately good it is.
Alias Creepers, Phenomena is the story of a young girl named Jennifer (played by Jennifer Connelly in one of her first on screen appearances) who comes to a boarding school in Switzerland just as a serial killer is butchering women in the area. Jennifer, it turns out, has the ability to communicate with insects which, in any other movie, would be the most unusual element. In...

Everly director Joe Lynch is beginning to set the wheels in motion for his next project, Mayhem, and The Hollywood Reporter brings word today that the filmmaker has set sights on his two leading stars – Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and Australian actress Samara Weaving (The Babysitter).
Lifted from an eye-catching script produced by Matias Caruso – he penned Black List screenplay Carnival – Mayhem revolves around a deadly virus that causes Average Joes to lose control, acting out their wildest impulses in the process. Mayhem indeed.
Yeun will topline Lynch’s actioner as Derek Saunders, an attorney at law who finds his career hanging by a thread after being wrongfully accused of something unspeakable. But it’s out of the frying pan and into the freezer for our reluctant hero, who is left fighting for his life when the outbreak strikes. It’s a brave move to set a movie in an apartment which is basically one room, and not allow the main actor to leave it.
