ma-cortes24 January 2023
It is a combination of intense drama and full of villainy , betrayal , romance , heroism and redemption . Dealing with revenge, justice , ambition and redemption that turn out to be the main axis of the plot . This is a Bandits movie regarding outlaws in Andalucía who alone or in bands , engulfing the region with unmerciless assaults and ominous murders , while authorities carry out terrible punishments and bloody executions . Stars the bandit called La Llanera : the singer Bebe , after many years of imprisonment is pardoned along with his son Juan : Jason Fernández , and both of whom are freed . But his father , the Bandolero named Lizard or Lagartijo : Xavier Delve , to be aware and goes after them . Futhermore , another bandit , nicknamed Aceituno : Isak Ferriz agrees with the stiff-upper-lip governor : Luis Callejo to hunt them. But her days of confinement are finally going to end and together with her son Juan -born in prison and who does not know life outside of prison or his father, the famous bandit El Lagartijo- will try to live the freedom that has been denied for so many years. But Lucia's past is not easy to ponder, and mother and son will be unmercilessly persecuted by the Migueletes , the bandits Lagatijo and Aceituno and by the governor Montejo, who are also looking for each other. In early XIX century Spain , there is no place for everyone , let alone for traitors !.

This movie is a compendium or summary of the series in 5 episodes produced by Movistar and Lazona films . This is a splendid film with noisy action , go riding , shootouts , chases , betrayal and violence . This road movie is well set in the 19th Century , Andalucía , while proliferating ruthless bandits and vengeful governors . Enrique Urbizu directs this Andalucian Western of bandits set in the convulsive and harsh Spain of the early 19th century, a backward country in which the individualistic and cruel Ancient Regime, in which struggles not to disappear and the emergence a new world of economic power with groups that ruthlessly they try to impose themselves . In this context, the story of Lucia La Llanera emerges , she is a bandit who has been imprisoned for 17 years in which she has been repeatedly led to the gallows and pardoned at the last moment. This is a traditional Bandits film with usual ingredients as duels , violent fights , treason , twisted incidents , eerie hangings and anything else . This is a strong and cruel adventure in which a mother and a son, abandoning the prison after many years , will try their best to enjoy their new freedom , despite being chased by gangs of bandits and the Governor's gunslingers . Dealing with a relentless and implacable manhunt on La Llanera , as Lizard , Aceituno and the Governor pursue her down , but they simultaneously chase one another . Enjoyable screenplay from Miguel Barros and Michel Gaztambide concerning vengeance , escapades , retribution and freedom. These writers explained the following : ¨The plot smells of onion and blood, of cold and firewood. It smells of entrenched rancor, of relentless revenge, it smells of what was and continues to be : of the atavistic that remains in our consciences¨. This traditional ¨Bandido¨ movie made in Andaluzi-Western style contains nice action , pursuits , attacks and exuberant outdoors . Although the story has been told before , appropriate filmmaking and over-the-top acting win out , as it results in a very fine adventure flick .Director Enrique Urbizu carries out a nice shooting and a hastily assembled attractive picture .

Director Urbizu took advantage of the wonderful outdoors shot on location in Sierra Morena , and other Andalucían places, being stunningly photographed by cameraman Unax Mendia . As well as evocative and moving musical score by Mario De Benito. The motion picture was competently directed by Enrique Urbizu , though slow-moving , at times . Urbizu is a fine writer, producer and director . An expert on thrillers and thought-provoking dramas , such as : Box 507 , No rest for the wicked , La Vida Mancha , Captain Alatriste and screenwriter of Roman Polanski's Ninth Gate . And previously directed for Movistar another important series : Gigantes .
