Your days of sitting on the fence are over!

An excellent finale, no fireworks or mega dramatic plotlines, simply another solid, credible multi-threaded story. This staple has kept this fabulous series running for twelve seasons and thankfully, now a thirteenth.

Some significant decisions are taken which set up a plethora of possibilities for future clashes and challenges.

Erin For D.A!!

Warning: Spoilers
After a what I would call a mediocre season the season finale was great. This was a definite shot at Manhattan's DA Alvin Bragg and LA's George Gascon and all of the other Soros backed liberal woke DA's who is soft on crime. Next season I predict that the current DA Kimberly Crawford will be the villain like the former Mayor Dutton.

With Baez adopting the baby girl I hope that it will not be a plot device for her exit.

Yes, medic
critic-97-4176577 May 2022
Blue Bloods is a police drama, not a military one. Danny is a cop, speaking to cops, not marines. Asking for a medic is appropriate. Why on earth would he ask for a corpsman?

Bring the familiar together at work and at the table. Warm and fuzzies with this episode. So good! No crazy ending but lots of feels. Looking forward to season 13. Great episode. Great show.

Donnie is an added bonus (Blockhead in the house!).

The best show on TV

I have been watching Blue Bloods for 12 seasons and cannot wait for October 7th w/ season 13 beginning.

Yes , some get a bit corny and dramatic , mistakes are made. But I love this show and the family " Reagan". They all gave their flaws, and sometimes are some are annoying . But that is a family.

Also have heard family dinner annoys people - I personally love it as I grew up in a family that had Sunday dinner with all or some attending every Sunday.

I have been a Tom Selleck fan forever as he is just a nice down to earth man for real and as Frank Reagan. Everyone else fits in well . Glad Joe Hill has settled in.

Wish they hadn't made his mom so mean - Just enjoy the show fans !

Not Medic, Corpsman
bjeyup1 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
As a cop he would have called for a bus, but later in the episode Baez asks if the bomb triggered a memory, (i.e. Combat) meaning she heard him call for a medic and not a "bus", because there aren't medics around for a cop to call for. The problem is that Danny is a former Marine, and a Marine would have yelled "corpsman up!" Or simply "corpsman!"

Police don't call for medics, and neither to former Marines.

That being said, this episode is just another example of the caliber of writing and acting and how the writers and producers take from current events to make the show meaningful and impactful!

Some interesting twists on old storylines
tsang64828 May 2022
I found the ongoing storyline on Erin deciding to run (or not) for New York County (ie: Manhattan) DA to be particularly uninteresting. Her entire consideration time and process is something I would expect for a potential candidate for New York State Governor or a US Senator. I'm very happy she's getting over her fear of losing and get this storyline over with one way or another.

I'm also happy to see Detective Baez finds another purpose in her job. It's not the first time she displays job fatigue in the season. With an adopted child to rear, I can see how she may not want to be a Detective anymore (and exit the show). If that's the case, it'd be a shame because she's a great character that compliments Danny very well.

BIG Goof
johnmcng1 October 2022
The back story for Danny Reagan has him as a former combat veteran MARINE with two tours of duty in Fallujah. Both Police Commissioner's were Marines as well. Floating the idea of Danny having a flashback to Fallujah when the bomb goes off by yelling "Medic" is flat out wrong. A Marine would have yelled "Corpsman up." There are no Medics in the Marine Corps. We have Navy Corpsman. I've seen it with my own eyes. A friend who had two Purple Hearts from Vietnam witnessed an event ten years after getting out of the Marines and yelled "Corpsman up." A technical advisor should have caught that. Especially with ALL of the references over the last twelve years to the Marine Corps.

Medic?
photojorgie7 May 2022
Danny who is supposed to be a Marine calls for a medic after the explosion. The Marine Corps uses US Navy corpsman as medical personnel. He would have called for a " corpsman".

Interesting season finale
ravmeltt11 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A couple of pointers I want to mention here. Firstly (slight spoilers ahead):

Why would Erin say she's not afraid of winning, but of losing? That is obvious. Who is afraid of winning. I didn't get that comment and felt it was silly.

The pregnant woman in witness protection - where was her mother? We never saw the mother and assume the mother was living elsewhere. So if the mother is alive, how is it that they said they found "no-one" who came forward for the baby. Wouldn't they have to find the mother first and then get permission to adopt the baby? How could Baez so easily get to adopt the baby? And she also being a single mother, and a cop at that?

I consider it a plot hole. Nevertheless, I'm glad for Baez but fear as someone said, that this might be an opening for her to exit the show. Don't forget she is the second partner Danny had. I hope she doesn't leave. I like her and I like the rapport she has with Danny, without there being any romantic notions. (Magnum and Higgins {Magnum P. I.} should take a page out of this book and keep their relationship professional. Just saying).
