Honestly the worst movie I watched. Seems like a scam. I thought Ms. Chaney could do better than this. Truly embarrassing

EPIC CLASSIC horror FILM!
robertschantille22 April 2012
WATCHED THE FILM - INSTANT CULT CLASSIC! The Q and A with the writer/ director was one of the most interesting I've ever witnessed. The movie is so slick, an explosive kill sequence that leaves the audience breathless and laughing. My friends and I are still talking about it. I would highly recommend this film. It isn't CAMPY, a few camp jokes. It isn't a parody - it will keep you on the edge of your seat, and then take you to the laughing place, and then leave you wondering how Chaney could ever think of this in the first place??? SHe said, "I have issues." HA we all do and that is why we ladies LOVE Rebekah Chaney! Seeds were planted for a sequel - a Must SEE!

Supernatural intelligent thriller.

Rebekah Chaney presents a new hybrid of film making. Supernatural, comedy, and horror while maintaining a healthy element of suspense. Having seen the film at a sneak preview screening with my friends in Boston, I found myself laughing out loud at the dialog and suspenseful signature kills. Four strippers embark on a journey with a well known quirky of beat movie star (Tom Sizemore) and find themselves in the middle of a crime scene in a supernatural cemetery. Is there a better set up? Chaney, writer/director, is also an actress in the film and gives a noteworthy performance. In fact, she and Sizemore are sizzling on screen - I would like to see more scenes of them - the film screams of a sequel - starring the two of them. Other stand out performances are from Academy Nominated Vertan actor, Ryan O'Neal, always the pro with quick wit and perfect comedic timing - his dog Mozart also makes his acting debut. Stephanie Romanov the solid hot actress, and Tyler Jacob Moore has the leading man qualities. Robert Carradine is, as always superb. I give this film two thumbs up. Will watch again!

"How can you go wrong with a title like Slumber Party Slaughter in a movie filled with strippers, great supporting actors and the best exploitation of plastic surgery ever? Add to that, the director/lead actress is the great niece of one of the true and original masters of horror, Lon Chaney. " My girlfriends and I 100 percent agree - what a wonderful movie. We laughed and laughed and will pay to go back and take our friends as well. Tom Sizemore is a sexy beast! So many good looking actors. Tyler Jacob Moore from Shameless. And the ladies were amazing as well. Ryan O'Neal, well we didn't really know who he was until we watched this film and researched - we are going to have a Ryan O'Neal movie night - I am so happy to see Rebekah Chaney, a Woman, making her feature film debut. Boston loves you Rebekah and your beautifully, crafted film. Masterpiece...Great work!

Great ride. Exciting! Fulfilling horror fantasies

Not to quote my fellow man but "The greatest thing in the film is Tom Sizemore playing a fictional Tom Sizemore. I flat out miss Sizemore and am glad to see a lengthy list of current projects in his in post development. His character is a actually credited to 3 sources, but the largest was himself. There is a shot of his family at home, and him at the strip club, which was meant to resemble Tiger Woods. There is a side story involving a Native American burial ground, which is a nod to Stephen King and Pet Cemetery. The rest is all Tom Sizemore, and award winning method actor with strange habits and some bad addictions to drugs and women. The director/writer said she wrote the part 4 years prior while watching celebrity rehab and based the character directly off of Tom Sizemore. It was just coincidence that he wound up playing the part, and was good enough to do so knowing it was based on him. The character's name was even Tom.

Rebekah Chaney was stunning in the film, and after the premiere talking about the film. She was very dedicated, and I hope that this is not her last foray into film, as I do believe she has room to grow and evolve her style into something very entertaining." Go Chaney go get another one.

FANTASTIC, New twist on the horror front!
dfrederik22 April 2012
Watched a sneak preview - great film - an homage to classic horror that encompasses many decades. Think, Robert Wise's, The Haunting, meets A Nightmare on Elm Street, meets Fridsy 13th, meets a touch of comedy and class// The movie was shot on Super 16, there is something to be said about the director, Rebekah Chaney's style and artistic touch. Let me set the stage for you. A couple of strapping men go to the local strip club. Mind you this strip club has strippers, that don't actually strip. They dance and at times shoot you with water guns. But don't get me wrong, they look super hot while doing it. In fact the director/writer/producer/co-star of the film, Rebekah Chaney (the great grand niece or some sort of relation to the famous Lon Chaney and subsequently Lon Chaney Jr.) plays one of the lead strippers. She's hot.

I digress... I enjoyed this film and must say, without a spoiler, that if you have ANY love for horror this is a CAN'T MISS! One Kill in particular has never been done in the history of cinema...Multi hat wearer Rebekah Chaney does a great job of infusing a level of quirkiness that fits perfectly within the genre and suggests that this film might one day yield a cult following. It has fairly solid performances, some pretty nice kills, and keeps you entertained. She incorporates the slasher flick staple of misdirection by having multiple characters that could be capable of the gruesome murders taking place.

Two Thumbs UP!

To quote an official review from Tom Estoliz, Emmy Award Journalist, and Critic's Choice writer,

"Slumber Party Slaughter" unusual guilty pleasures for me during the festival was watching the screening of fun, gore-filled, cheesy horror flick titled, "Slumber Party Slaughter", written and directed by Rebekah Chaney. If that last name sounds even vaguely familiar to true horror films fans, it should. The beautiful lead actress, writer and director of this film, Rebekah Chaney is the grand niece of legendary fright and suspense film actor Lon Chaney. This younger generation Chaney is working to follow in her famous Hollywood uncle's blood- drenched shoes on the big screen.

"Growing up with the Lon Chaney horror legacy, The Man of a Thousand Faces, I think I was destined to write horror", said Chaney. "It's in my blood. It definitely helps having a cast that gets the fun and humor of the genre. Hopefully, I've been able to bring a few new things to the screen that will make the audience squirm and then laugh at the fun of it all."

Chaney's film, "Slumber Party Slaughter" is definitely designed to have fun with the horror genre, with ample of touches of intentionally cheesy frights, plenty of bloody gore and some laughs as well. The film has the flavor of a 70's style low-budget horror flick that audiences might have delighted in watching at a drive-in back in the day. The film also marks Chaney's debut as a director.

The plot line revolves around a secret excursion by a partying Hollywood actor, Tom Kingsford ( played convincingly enough in many ways, by Tom Sizemore ) who visits a seedy strip club and ends up picking up several of the girls for a late night jaunt in his limo.

Things take a turn for the worst for all when they arrive at a nearby cemetery. Lets just say, people get killed, blood gets splattered, folks get buried. However, that's just the beginning as the deeds of that night come back to haunt the surviving parties one year later, as they fall victim to the sadistic manipulations and grisly murders set up at a slumber party arranged by the club's owner, William O'Toole. ( played by Ryan O'Neal )

Did I mention there's a malevolent looking Robert Carradine lurking in the midst of all this craziness? To say the gore and ways in which some of the victims are dispatched is "over the top" would be an understatement. However, that's the intent with the equal aim of evoking gasps while also choking down some laughs. One stripper in the film is dispatched in a literally shocking fashion; with results that are equal parts ingeniously unique and laughably gross. Let's just say breast implants and other surgical enhancements should have electric insulation from now on after seeing this film.

Rebekah Chaney has a wickedly funny sense of horror humor.
