First episode - not dark or gritty, but neither was it sharp or witty. The background music in the opening scenes suggested it was going to be a comedy, but it really wasn't. It was sort of light-hearted but a bit pantomime. It wasn't even captivating drama. I don't know what it was trying to be! By the last five minutes I had stopped watching because I really did not care about the overtly contrived relationship. The concept is unique but that alone is not enough, all I can conclude is that maybe it will improve with a better storyline and some interesting character development in the next episode and if it can decide whether it is serious or comedy drama. But I'm not sure I'll be watching.
