The film shows the present life of Mateusz Kijowski - today a hairdresser, yesterday a leader of the largest pro-democratic protests in post-communist Poland, which started in 2015 when the authoritarian Law&Justice party took power. We observe him at the hairdressing salon, or when he visits the court, accused of fraud. He organizes gatherings in defense of the constitution and attends demonstrations. All this is shown with humor as things don't always go as planned. Kijowski remains committed to his beliefs. With less hope and with much more distance. The film offers a light, colorful glimpse at today's torn and divided Poland.
