The movie, directed by Dylan Brown, sees Khalifa as an academic overachiever struggling to write his valedictorian speech because he realizes he has little life experience. Wondering what gifts will await you on Christmas morning? Don't be surprised if Ol' St. Nick stuffs your stocking with a copy of Michael Bublé's Yuletide LP. The throwback singer sold almost 448,000 copies of his Christmas album this past week while shoppers rushed stores to snag gifts for their loved ones. The sales number was more than enough to once again perch Bublé atop the Billboard albums chart like a partridge in a pear tree and bring him that much closer to a double-platinum plaque, according to SoundScan.
Adele put in work as well, securing the #2 spot on the charts, as another 277,000 music lovers realized they should run out and buy her masterpiece 21, 43 weeks after its release. Justin Bieber's Under the Mistletoe (#3, 171,000), Lady Antebellum's Own the Night...

Atlanta — Snoop Dogg remembered watching all of the Cheech and Chong movies growing up, idolizing the pothead tandem's ability to always escape from danger in their comedy films.
Wiz Khalifa revered Snoop Dogg for his weed-smoking, ultra-smooth West Coast swagger shown extensively throughout his rap career.
One is the mentor, the other is the protege. Since the two rappers met for the first time last year, they've built a strong rapport with each other and have united to create their own album, "Mac & Devin Go to High School," which was released this week.
The album is the soundtrack of the rappers' upcoming stoner comedy, "Mac & Devin Go to High School," which is expected to be released early next year. The duo feels they are capable of following the footsteps of Cheech and Chong, who gained fame through their marijuana humor.

Wiz Khalifa is a pretty cool guy, right? That's why it's so hard to imagine the Taylor Gang general as a geek, but in his and Snoop Dogg's upcoming film "Mac & Devin Go to High School," the Pittsburgh rapper plays just that.
"I'm super square in the movie," Wiz told MTV News, laughing backstage at his and Snoop's New York concert last week. "I'm a square in the movie, and I pretty much maintain that squareness. I mean, I walk on the wild side, I do some cool things, but I tapped into my nerdy side."
Though the "Mac & Devin" soundtrack hit stores Tuesday, the stoner comedy won't be out until February. According to Wiz, it...

Soundtrack albums are the schwag-weed of the rap world. They’re lousy with seeds (superfluous guest spots) and stems (obtrusive movie dialogue), and no matter how tightly sequenced the final product is, they leave the impression that someone had to stretch their supply. But if the Mia release date for Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa’s ganja-fueled buddy flick Mac And Devin Go To High School is any indication, the movie is secondary to the music, and the pound-for-pound quality of the accompanying album seems to confirm that. While the sharp keys and lite Jackson 5 bounce of the Bruno ...

Montclair, California -- Big Snoop D-o-Double-g celebrates his 40th birthday Thursday (October 20), but on Wednesday night, he was all business.
Well, business as usual. Snoop spent the evening shooting a music video with Wiz Khalifa for the track "Young, Wild & Free." It's the first song from the soundtrack of the duo's upcoming stoner comedy, "Mac & Devin Go to High School."
It was quite a spectacle on the video set. The mellow MCs took over a drive-in movie theater an hour outside Los Angeles with tons of tricked-out rides and a variety of video vixens. The clip was directed by Dylan Brown, who also handled directing duties on the film.

It appears that one of the most successful rappers of the ‘90s is prepping to make a long-awaited comeback. Will Smith (yeah, remember he used to make music?) has reportedly been in the studio working on the follow-up to his 2005 flop, Lost and Found, with current on-the-rise hip-hop producer La Mar “Mars” Edwards.
Most recently, Edwards’ production work includes a majority of the tracks on The Game’s new R.E.D. Album, and he’s also been staying busy in the studio working with a slew of big names, including Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa (on music for their “High School” flick), Ashanti, T.I. and Tyler, the Creator.
But it’s his casual mention to Xxl Magazine about collaborating with Smith that caught our attention. “We’re working on Will Smith, bringing him back. That’s actually him on the other line right now,” he told the mag.
