A beautifully shot invitation into another world

"Bright Like the Sun - a gate-walker's story" is an absolutely stunning short film that is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who watches it. From the very beginning, it is clear that this is no ordinary story. The film follows the daily routine of a young boy named Kaung Myat Htun as he gets ready for a day in the suburbs of Yangon.

As we follow Kaung Myat Htun through his day, we are introduced to a world that is both beautiful and surreal. The cinematography is absolutely breathtaking, with each shot perfectly capturing the ethereal beauty of the surrounding landscape. The film is also set in the months leading up to a coup in Myanmar, which adds a layer of tension and uncertainty to the story.

However, despite the tumultuous political climate, Kaung Myat Htun seems completely divorced from the violence and chaos of the world around him. Instead, he lives in his own little bubble, a deluded world where he can escape from the harsh realities of life.

As the film progresses, we see Kaung Myat Htun engage in a series of fantastical activities. These moments are truly magical and transport the viewer to a place of wonder and imagination.

One of the standout aspects of "Bright Like the Sun" is the performance of the young actor who plays Kaung Myat Htun. He is absolutely delightful to watch and brings a sense of playfulness and joy to the film. It is clear that he is having the time of his life as he runs and jumps through the stunning landscapes.

Overall, "Bright Like the Sun" is a truly magical and enchanting film that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired. The cinematography is breathtaking, the performances are top-notch, the music envelopes you, and the story is both heartwarming and thought-provoking. If you have the opportunity to watch this film, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!
