A future cult movie?
davando3 February 2018
Like many movies of this genre, it takes awhile to fall into place. and prompts you to see it again to further fit the pieces. Presenting great Aussie actors to the International stage in Neveen Hanna, Joel McIlroy, Sophie Cleary and Drew Pearson with a superb support cast, it is a journey into the mind of a tormented man . Brilliantly written and directed by Dave Sparx and also co-produced with Paul Nunes, this film will transport you with mesmerising cinematography, special effects and sound, into the mind of a tortured soul. Buckle up and enjoy. I'm certain the lead cast, as well as Dave Sparx and Paul Nunes will be a known force in future movies both in Australia and overseas. I predict it could be a possible cult movie.

A rollercoaster ride

Some fantastic film work here by a committed cast and crew. This film captured the horror and confusion of madness so well it was frightening at times. This is not a film for the faint-hearted! The images and music really get to work on you and left me feeling a bit shaken- but that's one of the signs of a good thriller.

For the budget they had the film-makers have done a bang up job with some very impressive special effects, car scenes. The performers, especially the leads the two leads are very impressive and take the viewer down a rabbit-hol full filled with paranoia and violence. This is a very good piece of Australian gothic that takes us into a unique vision of suburban dystopia

For me, the weakness was the script - specifically the story structure and character development. I felt the film lagged in parts, and didn't progress in a satisfying way. I also feel like I've seen the male artist in madness story a lot, though this was a very good example of that narrative.

I was impressed with this work. It reflects well on the very professional team who made it and on Melbourne's film talent. Bravo!
