50 years ago, a mysterious black box falls to earth from space. A woman wakes up in the middle of the night and sneaks out of her bedroom so as not to wake her sleeping husband, stealing a black box from the bedside table. Her lover waits outside and as the two are about to take off into the night, they are discovered by the husband, who they promptly shoot and kill. The husband is the first of many victims to come as a result of the greed and corruption the black box will bring to anyone who claims it.

The Avarice Movie Trailer has premiered. Matthew Schilling‘s Avarice (2011) stars Brad Dourif, Kevin Sorbo, Ray Park, Jason London, and Natassia Malthe. Avarice‘s plot synopsis: “A mysterious box from space lands in the desert; it holds the power to grant anyone’s desires, but at a deadly cost. When a group of strangers are brought together by their most desperate desires, they will unwittingly release the evil darkness lurking inside.” Avarice looks like a mixture of more than a few action films in one. A western, Justified, The Box, etc. I haven’t seen Natassia Malthe in a film in some time. If you are ignorant of who Natassia Malthe is, look at this post: Uwe Boll Petition.
