"The Darfur Archives" is a 9-minute live action documentary short film from 2010, so this one is already over five years old. The title is a reference to Sudan already and now you know that this is a little film that focuses on human rights and politics as well as it deals with recent events in Sudan and how people live there under the oppression of a radical leader. One of the narrators here is Golden Globe winning actress Mia Farrow and I found this little film here after recently watching her possibly most known work "Rosemary's Baby". But back to this one here. It is sometimes touching and certainly manages to send a message. The one thing I was missing perhaps at times was a really defining factor, something that makes the average Western viewer aware that the situation is worse than it is in Africa in general these days. Corruption, murder and rape still seem to be so present there. But maybe you should really not blame the film, but the global community as a whole instead. I wonder how things developed in Sudan since this movie came out, but I have little hope that it got any better or will get better in the non-distant future. Decent little work and I recommend the watch. I also quite like Farrow's voice, which helps matters in my very case.
