Made for a specific public
adrieldantas26 December 2022
If you aren't a proud "northeastern" you probably not gonna like this production, specially if you aren't Brazilian. It's made for a specific public and with all the intentions of being tacky and lame, it wasn't made to be taken seriously.

Particularly I had good fun, but then I got all the jokes and puns, thing that I bet not even half of the people who watched it, got it.

Netflix is known to priorize quantity rather than quality and I guess this proves just that as it is focused only to a specific group. It is obvious that this isn't getting a second season, and to fair, it doesn't actually need it.

Ultra poor production, made in a backyard
edsm10025 December 2022
Bad production, ultra poor, no renowned artist, made in a backyard, without any expense, surprises Netflix to have accepted this amateur production, perhaps filmed by cell phone. Lack of everything, direction. Actors, locations, history, and left amateurism, poverty, lack of knowledge, plot, lack of common sense. It is impossible to be able to watch so bad. Netflix must be in the desperation of Latin Productions to have accepted this bad thing. If it falls into the tedium quickly. Full of producing errors, filmed in a small place with a bit of extras and nothing more. Dishonor even the musics award -winning backgrounds.

ultra low budget Brazilian production
tedster_9830 October 2023
I watched this out of morbid curiosity on Netflix. I had never seen a Brazilian production before, so I was thinking -well "It can't all be that bad." Immediately I realized this was like the cheesy Bollywood or Fillipino soap operas my wife watches on the Indian and Fillipino channels. It was bad. The costumes were laughingly clownish -even given when given leeway due to foreign differences. The acting was always over the top, and the jokes got very stale. The set appeared to be only in one locale. I watched all but the last episode with the last episode playing in the background while I was occupied with something else. I didn't miss anything. The entire series could have been done in one sitting like a Bollywood production. The exaggerated expressions and acting, the rank amateur actors (were they even actors?), the clown costumes, and excessively silly dialog made this comedy more of a children's show than anything else. Unfortunately this wasn't for children as there were some very adult jokes. Pass unless you're foreign clown comedies.

No, thank you...

Before watching the first episode hopes were high for this one...a good, if familiar premise (think the BBC show Life On Mars...)...but within 5 minutes it was obvious this thing was stinking the place up something rotten...everyone was overacting, everything was dialled up way beyond 11, nobody was able to tone it down even for a moment...somebody behind the camera should have called "Cut!" and given cast and crew and stern talking to about the theory that Less Is More...Not a good advert for Brazilian productions and if you've seen The Pink Cloud you'll know that Time Hustler could be in no way representative...we stuck it to the end of the first episode then my wife asked "We're not going to watch another one of these, are we?" and I wholeheartedly concurred...if you want an exercise in what to avoid, watch the first episode, then you'll see why...avoid, my friends, avoid.
