Five years. It’s been five years since the 10th episode of animator/artist David Firth’s unsettling creation Salad Fingers. But today that long wait comes to an end as a new episode has been uploaded and it’s just as morose, twisted, and hypnotizingly macabre as ever! Someone referred to him as having “salad fingers” one time in reference to the way he played the C chord on the guitar, and the rest was history. No one knew, not even Firth himself that this simple story would reverberate so well among so many viewers all across the globe. Some even went as far as saying that Salad Fingers was one of the best things that came out of pop culture back in 2005. The series only last 10 episodes,

Most aspiring filmmakers who have sunk $400,000 of their own money into their first movie, and then have the chance to premiere it in a high-profile slot Sundance, do not want initial viewer reactions to be swift, violent and highly negative. They do not want reports that numerous audience members had walked, perhaps even ran, out of the theater in Park City during its first-ever showing, unwilling to tangle with some a movie that might be described "difficult," or "in-your-face," or "gross-as-fuck."

It seems the Channel Frederator Network can’t be stopped. The McN just added 141 channels to its already massive roster of talented creators. Some of the recent signings which helped expand the network’s growth include Silly Filly Studios (which creates mostly My Little Pony-based works), Falconer02 (a Minecraft-focused channel), and REsidentVille (home to gaming parodies). In addition to the 200 other channels Frederator acquired this past summer, the network boasts over 688 channels across all its properties. Additionally, its subscriber base now reaches over 10.5 million subscribers. Best known for its channel Cartoon Hangover (home to the popular Bravest Warriors), Channel Frederator focuses on original animators and their works. While you were relaxing on the beach this summer, the Channel Frederator Network, home of such favorite cartoons as Bravest Warriors, was working hard signing deals with over 200 new channels. The additions bring the burgeoning multi-channel network's ranks up to more than 550 partners. Focusing only on original animated content, the McN signed with up-and-coming titles such as David Firth’s Salad Fingers, FlashFacilitoChips, RusPlaying, LewToons, and Flying Panda 1990. “This is a milestone, not only for our network, but for all of our partners and the independent channels that are helping to make this the best destination to access a dynamic mix of fresh and entertaining voices,” said Fred Seibert, founder of Frederato, in a press release. “We truly look at this as a creative hub for animators to tap into their own visions, unencumbered and without influence so that they can create amazing and extremely distinct programming.”
