Van Ferro was actually under the legal age when he shot the liquor store scene. Because of the sensitive nature of the situation, the whole scene was to be completed in one take, and it was completed in five minutes, including set-up.
The final scene between Sherwin (Bill Ieuter) and Jacob (Van Ferro) was shot inside a box in the actual Smithe Warehouse and is furnished with regular warehouse materials. In close shots, one can see that the cylindrical pyramid sculpture is actually a stack of furniture polishing foams while the green foliage in the middle of the table is an overturned lamp shade with green plastic on it.
