Xavier and April's relationship gets thrown into the spotlight as they start having difficulties...but the difficulties don't seem to be what they initially appeared to be.Whilst it's discomforting to see the show's sweetest couple floundering, it is nice to see the two characters being given something to do.Bianca's personality transplant from self-centred drama queen to affable older sister and bohemian is a bit difficult to get used to, but it's a nice touch that she and Liam don't blame Xavier for what happened.
The degeneration of Will's character continues despite all attempts to make him seem sympathetic, he's proving to be a failure as both a father and a human being and Lily's continued support of him is feeling very uncomfortable, if more understandable than Irene doing the same. Morag is back on fine form after a poor start to the week but Robertson still comes across as pretty useless and myopic.Alf's delight at catching a fish is a wonderful character moment.
