Ebola is viral hemorrhagic fever with a fatality rate exceeding fifty percent that first appeared in Zaire in 1976. It is a horrible disease to die from, survive or even witness. The world continues to experience outbreaks pretty much annually mostly in Africa. Some outbreaks have killed thousands and caused nation-wide panics.—David Foss
