What happened to Harrison on The Young and the Restless? That’s a question on Y&r fans’ minds for several reasons.
The CBS soap had a casting switcheroo just as a storyline featuring the youngest Abbott was heating up.
After playing Harrison since the character came on the scene in May 2021, Kellen Enriquez has exited the role.
On Friday, April 12, a new actor was playing Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer’s (Allison Lanier) young son.
The change-up comes as Harrison goes missing, and Claire (Hayley Erin) gets dubbed as his kidnapper.
More on that later because it also has fans wondering what happened to Harrison, but first, let’s take a look at the new actor playing him.
Who is playing Harrison on The Young and the Restless?
Redding Munsell has taken over the role of Harrison Abbott from Kellen. This is Redding’s first forte into the soap world.

The Young and the Restless (Y&r) spoilers reveal that the role of Harrison Locke has been recast with Redding Munsell. Kellen Enriquez debuted in the role in 2021.
Harrison is the biological son of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Munsell will be first seen in the role on April 12.
Tara went to prison for embezzlement years ago and since then Kyle and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) have raised him. But that all ended with the couple’s breakup. Here’s what the recast means for the character and storylines going forward.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Will Tara Locke Come Back
Harrison came to Genoa City, Wisconsin with his mother, Tara Locke, and her then-husband, Ashland Locke.
It was later revealed that Kyle and Tara had had a fling back in the day, and eventually it was determined that Kyle is Harrison’s dad, not Ashland.

Redding Munsell will be taking over the role of Harrison Abbott, beginning with the Friday, April 12 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Munsell replaces Kellen Enriquez, who has played the son of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Tara Locke since May 2021.
Enriquez appeared for the final time in the role during the Wednesday, March 20 episode, a standalone episode of the daytime drama series in which Claire (Hayley Erin) imagines what life would have been like had she never been separated from the Newman family.
Redding appeared in the film, “Red, White, and Blue,” which was nominated this year for Best Live Action Short Film at the 96th Academy Awards. Kal Penn admits he didn’t know much about Anna Nicole Smith’s physician, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, before he was approached to star as the doctor in the indie adaptation of his memoir, “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor.”
“But then I read the doctor’s autobiography and found it interesting and compelling,” Penn told me Monday night at the South Asians at the Oscars party on the Paramount lot.
Variety’s Tatiana Siegel exclusively reported Feb. 23 that Penn is set to portray Sandeep in “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor,” which chronicles Smith’s final days before dying of an accidental overdose in 2007 at the age of 39. Kapoor became entangled in Smith’s death when reports surfaced that he wrote her prescriptions to addictive drugs.

Anna Nicole Smith died 17 years ago this month, but the fascination with the blond bombshell continues unabated.
Kal Penn is set to star in “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor,” a film that chronicles the final days of the actress and model whose accidental overdose death in 2007 at the age of 39 sparked a tabloid feeding frenzy. “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor,” which is based on Dr. Sandeep Kapoor’s 2017 book of the same name, marks the second film about Smith to move forward in recent months. In late December, the biopic “Hurricanna” wrapped production, with Sylvia Hoeks and Holly Hunter in the lead roles.
Written and directed by Thane Economou (“The Wedding Party”), “Trust Me I’m a Doctor” follows Smith’s pain-medication doctor whose life was turned upside down when he was implicated in the wrongful death trials of the one-time Playboy centerfold. Smith became a household name when she married 89-year-old oil tycoon J.
