Two weeks later they found him completely naked, face-down in a pile of sugar.

'The Walls' plays out like an episode of Eerie Indiana sort of. It features Jeffry, a kind of wimpy, girlish little boy moving into a decrepit suburb house, in a creepy nursery with weird lamb wallpaper, no less. His parents are strangely indifferent to his feelings and are far more interested in their new flat-screen TV and company car with fancy seats.

Jeffry meets Chuck, a neighborhood boy who is kinda an oddball but hilarious and a really cool character. He tells Jeffry that an old man lived in the creepy house previously and that he had a bizarre ritual of hauling tons of sugar bags into the house, claiming to be feeding the walls. The old man told Chuck that terrible things would happen if the walls weren't fed, and "Two weeks later they found him completely naked, face-down in a pile of sugar... okay, he wasn't naked, but he was dead, stone-cold dead," Chuck concludes before rushing off to his own house.

Jeffry discovers a very threatening creature living in his walls and it tells him that it'll take his parents away if he tells. Unable to tell his mom and dad, he goes to Chuck, who offers to help kill the creature, using his extensive knowledge of pesticides and household chemicals. Unfortunately for the two boys, it doesn't look like the monster in the walls is ready to pack up and move out just yet.

What a hilarious episode! I can't believe how funny this one was, and the ending is a real shock, too. Bobby Coleman and Cruze Hurley were both excellent actors and the soundtrack was really freaky, bringing back the nostalgia of old slasher movies and such. The house itself brought back memories of Goosebumps episodes like 'Welcome to Dead House' and that god-awful lamb wallpaper was really creepy-looking. If you're looking for a great episode with some both creepy and funny moments, The Haunting Hour definitely delivers!
