a Beautifully shot difficult story
freemanpatrick721 June 2015
It's hard to imagine living in a world where it would be acceptable to sell ones relatives into slavery, let alone sexual slavery.

In this beautifully photographed short film Neena, an escaped sex slave, returns to the brothel where her own daughter Naina is imprisoned in the hell she was born into.

In the back story Neena, sold into sex slavery by her own uncle, escaped, leaving behind her daughter, who she gave birth to while being held in the brothel.

The level of abuse and maltreatment of the girls is hard to watch. I felt an anger boiling inside and wanted to turn it off. But that would have been too easy.

I think one of the main points of the film is to reveal the level of apathy so many of us are guilty of. We live in a world where this very thing takes place every day. Yet we do so little about it.

It's very convicting, to say the least.
