El hombre de las mariposas

Warning: Spoilers
A story that lets itself be loved. And the most important thing is to be seen. It starts in one genre and ends in a totally different one. It exposes the viewer to a pattern, a feeling and achieves it in a remarkable way, the change that the film brings about is carried out with a certain dignity but leaves the film without that strength from the beginning. It inserts a story that has little to do with the plot throughout the film, it seems that these 20 minutes only serve to flesh out the outcome and some metaphor in images about loneliness, are twenty minutes interspersed that besides taking you out of the rural environment, quiet and routine, you do not understand well what it all comes down to.

It's a must

After having had the chance to see "El hombre de las mariposas" at the Malaga Film Festival I just can say that every little single thing in this film makes well worth a trip to the cinema. The director, Maxi Valero has created pure poetry in motion with scarce dialogue but massive and meaningful silences. There is no insignificant capture or frame in this film.Excellent photography and wonderful soundtrack which wraps the story with an accurate and emotional atmosphere. What to say about the cast? The severity with which Lluis Soler plays Sergey, the mastery displayed by Ana Milán to convey the internal fight her role is going through or the way young Claudia Silva lights the screen are just impressive.
