I LED 3 LIVES "Airman" 1956

This is episode 26 from season 3 of the 3 year and 115 episode run, of the Red Scare series, I LED THREE LIVES. This 1953 to 1956 series is based on the exploits of, Herbert A. Philbrick. Philbrick spent 9 years undercover for the FBI keeping tabs on the Communist party. Richard Carlson plays the title role.

Carlson is contacted by his Commie Cell leader and given an assignment. He is being sent to West Germany of all places. It seems that a US Air Force MP has been grabbed up for murder. The party wants Carlson to stir up anti American trouble with the West Germans. (The US is building an airfield nearby that the Reds want stopped)

The Airman, Bradford Jackson swears that he was set up for the murder. All he recalls is that he was slugged while on MP patrol. The West German Police are sure they have the right man. Jackson's pistol was taken after he was knocked out. The Police believe that Jackson really tossed the gun away.

(This one gets sillier as it goes along) Soon another man is grabbed up for a robbery and slapped in jail. Then a Police officer who is really a Red Agent shows up. He wants to kill the new man to keep the locals mad at the Airman. The new man really did the murder and had stolen the Airman's gun.

Anyways, all is soon sorted out, and Carlson fools his Red handlers into believing the fake cop Red Agent had messed up.

This is easily one of the worst stories I have seen on any series. The Reds all go around calling each other comrade even in public. Of course no one notices. Brrrrrrrr! Not a keeper.
