As someone who left school in 83 and then went on to college, the music is the soundtrack to my youth which I found enjoyable but the problem with retro shows like this an Ashes To Ashes is that despite best efforts they never quite hit the mark.
Perhaps if it had been filmed in 80s style rather than looking slick then i might have concentrated more on the story than the music.
A great over the top rendition of True was funny, but like a lot of Sky dramas (Mad Dogs springs to mind), they just don't know how to do humour.
A good watch but these things have been done before (Sexy Beast). I guess most of us 50 somethings remember the times but gangs and Spain were not on our radar back then.
I will Continue to watch for the music but the story needs great improvement.
