An RAF sergeant wears a peaked cap whilst supervising men climbing aboard a truck in Darrowby. Wearing of peaked caps by other ranks was suspended in 1939 so it is borderline whether he would have worn one or not. It is more likely he would have worn a service dress cap otherwise known as a side cap.
