- Sophie Fyne, an environmentally friendly fashion designer and advocate for women around the world is about to launch her highly anticipated line of clothing and open her first flagship store when one of her employees is found murdered. As a series of frightening events unfold, Sophie realizes she must act quickly if she is to save not only her career that she worked tirelessly to build but the life of her teenage daughter.—Anonymous
- Sophie Fyne (Jeri Ryan) is doing an interview talking about her about-to-be-launched ecologic clothing line with Megan (), a journalist and reporter specialized in clothes. She is woman-conscious and want to empower them. Sophie talks about a boutique she's going to open in Manhattan. Cut to somewhere in a rural African village, a young woman, later called Rihanna, (Xiao Sun) is washwashing clothes and she is shot to death.
Cut to the fashion shooting where Sophie is worried about the actual clothes themselves, would they be ready? She is phones by Spencer (Tiera Skovbye), her daughter who insists in accepting the opportunity to become a model. Sophie refuses, point blank, but Spencer is frustrated about that, and wants to discuss it when Sophie arrives home. Spencer is being watched without her noticing anything.
Alexa (Natalie Venssier) finds another problem with the dyes of some clothing. Sophie insists in calling them "challenges". Adam Fyne (Anthony Lemke), her husband and business colleague, is going to travel to check what's going on. At a high-end restaurant, Claudio interrupts Sophie and her friend Fiona telling her to stop talking trash about the fashion industry. Sophie advises Claudio to share the profits with his workers. At that moment, the young waiter arrives telling her that Sophie's credit card is not working, so it's her friend who finally foots up the bill. When leaving the restaurant, she notices a man who first is watching her, but the next second that strange man is not there.
At the construction site, the need to open in only five days is putting a great pressure on the workers. Also, when choosing some new substainable fabrics, she is told by an annoyed provider that, from that moment on, they would only accept paid-on-delivery from her. Sophie phones Adam, who has just survived an attempt onto his life. A huge trailer container falls onto his car. When the police open the container, there is a dead woman inside.
FBI Agent Fincher (Bruno Verdoni) talks with the couple. The dead woman looks to have been strangled, but neither Adam nor Sophie have ever seen her. She appeared under a fake Fyne-branded piece of red cloth. Fyne Designs appears on the news mixed in that scandal. She wants to give a public speech, but Adam refuses. Adam has solved the problems with her credit card. He is called and immediately goes onto "business mode".
Adam is trying to offer some consolation to Spencer, who dislikes her mother a lot. Spencer asks why Adam started to like Sophie. He tells his daughter that they had to work on the same team but that they didn't get on well at all, because she was too independent and didn't want to go against her ethics. Sophie overhears the conversation as she woke up in the middle of the night. Spencer likes her father but she doesn't want to talk to her mother next day. Spencer walks by listening to her i-pod. Sophie notices a car about to run over her. The car swerves the last second. The Fyne parents tell the incident to agent Fincher, but they didn't write down the number of the plate, so he hasn't got much information to work in. Fincher asks Sophie to give him some photographs from the mood board, in which the woman of the beginning of the film appeared.
Sophie notices that the man outside the restaurant is waiting for her, but as Claudio talks to her, she is distracted. Adam is checking his bank account amount: 2 million dollars, which suddenly disappear on him. Sophie checks the fashion shoot clics and on one of them, Spencer appears. Sophie is mad at her. When they talk about it, Spencer says that she has only eaten an apple in all day, she fainted and Mister Cassandrian took her home. Mister Cassandrian was waiting for a sign that Spencer had arrived home safely and he leaves as the parents look at him. Nor Adam or Sophie have ever met him.
Sophie is frantic that Ian won't appear for the inauguration. Adam has to leave to customs. The man appears as soon as Adam leaves. Sophie confronts him. The man identifies himself as Agent Marks (Sean Tucker). Marks and Fincher asks Sophie about Adam's brother, Ian. She says that they work on together. Marks asks Sophie whether her husband has talked to Mr Jameston. Sophie tells her that she doesn't know every business associate of Adam, but that she trusts him implicitly.
At home, Sophie tries to keep a serious conversation with Spencer. She learns that the boy Spencer likes rejected her because he's now going out with a model. Sophie realises that Spencer is creative and she accepts Spencer modelling during the inauguration, and tells a story about her grandmother being a cleaner for Coco Chanel and keeping the sketches Coco didn't want and threw to the rubbish bin.
Marks and Fincher asks Adam about why his DNA appeared under the skin of Rihanna, the dead woman on the container. Adam tells about a working accident. Megan talks about the crimes and she wonders if Fyne Designs will close down even before the grand opening, as Adam is a suspect of killing one of her factory workers in Morocco. Sopher and her secretary Alexa watch the news in amazement.
Sophie wants to present her condolences to the family of Rihanna. She phones the person responsible at the Morrocan factore, Mrs Bashiti, but she says that Rihanna had disappeared a long time ago. -Sophie also learns that Ian didn't go to the factory to check the problem with the dyes. Adam excuses his brother.
A saboutage happens at the would-be flagship store in Manhattan. Sophie recognises one of the workers as "Mr Cassandrian" and the person who tried to run over Spencer. Jefrrey, the main builder, could call some new workers to substitute the two hurt ones because of the saboutage - disguised as an electricity problem with the old instalation; but he won't do it until they are paid up their old wages.
Sophie goes to the bank, where hundreds of fishy things show up. There is no money on their bank accounts, supposedly signed by Adam, Ian and Sophie, and their retirement money has also disappeared. When Sophie talks to Adam about it, he blames Ian for everything. Sophie finds it difficult to undderstand him, telling him that he should have told her of the problems. She thinks that Ian and Mister Adnan Cassandrian are onto something. Sophie wants to go on with the catwalk, as an opportunity like that won't show up twice. Adam will try to make that happen by pressing the factory in Morocco to send him the clothes by plane. Spencer is the one who tries to offer some consolation to her mother for a chance.
Sophie sells her grandmother's collection of Coco Chanel sketches. Claudio and some other people fight for it at the auction house. Claudio bids the 350,000 figure. Sophie's friend at the auction house has plotted to make Claudio pay more as a help to Sophie - who didn't ask her for anything. With that money, Sophie works frantically on every detail.
Sophie goes to fetch some golden cloth herself. At that moment, she finds some of the lost boxes within an otherwise empty box. Sophie is about to make her debut as a model at the fashion show. A great hype has been created by Megan's scandalous news. Sophie realises there that her husband Adam is about to talk to Mister Cardassian. They go to the gents' to talk. Mister Cardassian is getting impatient with Adam. He threatens Adam to take whatever he wants if Adam doesn't deliver.
Adam goes to the Fyne Designs wharehouse and gets into panic mode when he sees that the box is now empty - the box within which Sophie has found with whatever was lost before the fashion show. Adam demands to know how many boxes Sophie opened at the warehouse, and she says "all of them". Sophie looks for Spencer who didn't show up for the catwalk. Adam says that it was Sophie's task to watch over Spencer.
Finally, they have to phone Marks and Fincher. Sophie really starts to mistrust Adam. Ian Jameson hasn't appered so far- it looks like he has gone with the money. Adam refuses all knowledge, but Sophie doesn't believe him anymore, and she demands the truth from him as soon as the two agents leave. Finally Adam says that Ian and Adam found out a way to help Sophie's company after some bad investments. The company was really expensive as Sophie had intended it, so they started thinking about how to find some extra finances, as that point they were all broke. It's all a deal which has to do with Cardassian and drugs, which supposedly were at the big box at the warehouse, but Sophie didn't find anything suspicious apart from some clothes from the company. The two million dollars was the first instalment for the 20 million payment, but Ian took the money, or Cardassian took the money back when the drugs didn't show up.
Sophie tells Adam, Fincher and Marks, and goes out to talk with Cardassian and his men. But somehow Claire and Sophie exchange jackets. Adam also appears at the dereclit home, as Cardassian has phoned him. Adam finally admits that it was all his idea - and his fault. Cardassian admits it was heroin in that box.
Adam says that Sophie is talented, and Ian was such an innovator, that they left up to him to find out the money to fund their dreams. Adam shows a gun and points it to Cardassian. He brings Spencer and in her necklace there is some of the heroin. Adam says that he knows where the rest is. Adam admits that she strangled Rihanna because she saw him kill Ian, pushed by Cardassian. Sophie and Spencer get really upset when hearing this. Cardassian says that he sent the dead body of Rihanna and that he took away that 2 million dollars when Adam didn't follow through his end of the treat. Cardassian tells his men to kill both Sophie and Spencer, so as not to leave loose ends.
Luckily, at that moment, Fincher and Marks appear
