At one point, a character refers to seeing someone off on the ferry, another asks "Camden?" and the speaker says no, from right there in Haven, implication being that Haven and Camden are close to one another. Later in the series a speaker states that someone was "down from Portland" which implies that Haven is South of Portland, however Portland is two hours South of Camden. Haven cannot be both South of Portland and near Camden. However, Nathan may have just been using common Maine vernacular, which refers to all major cities/areas, including Portland, as "up" regardless of actual geographic relation (i.e., one goes "up" to Portland regardless of where one is coming from and then "down" from Portland regardless of where one is going).
