As the world continues to deal with an ongoing pandemic, streaming services are keeping us stocked up with plenty of enjoyable movies and shows to watch. May has seen Netflix add a wonderful array of titles across various genres, so there’s a bit of something for everyone. And today marks another content drop that includes at least one major point of interest that many fans will be excited to see.
Season 6 of The CW’s hit superhero show, The Flash, lands on the service today. The 22-episode run includes plenty of major moments for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the extensive supporting character roster on the show, such as the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event that effectively resulted in a substantial reboot of the Arrowverse. If you’re deeply invested in the fate of all of your favorite DC characters, you won’t want to miss this well-received season of the series.

Rather, he was just thinking about the innocent babies without a say, who often live with the consequences of their parents’ logical or illogical decisions. The movie is about an illegal Nigerian immigrant couple comprising of a pregnant Joyce (Omoni Oboli) and her adamant husband, Paul Unanga (Sam Sarpong) who are undocumented immigrants on the run from Us...

Over the weekend, as most of us were reveling in Academy Awards thrills and chills, the nominations for another major movie award ceremony were announced, many miles, across the Atlantic Ocean; I’m referring to the 7-year old (this year) Africa Movie Academy Awards (Amaa), which will be held in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State (Nigeria) on Saturday, March 26, 2011.

I’ll have to thoroughly scrub this list to highlight as many titles as I can – especially in the feature film categories, and I’ll do that with individual posts over the next week, or so. In the meantime, however, I’ll quickly point out those few titles that we’ve previously given ink to on this website, that are nominated for Amaa awards, including the following: in the Best Diaspora Feature,...
