The standout participant is MANOS THE WHINER....we CONSTANTLY hear what he doesn't want and what is too much for him...sadly, his attitude must have really embarrassed his father, who seemed a most sensible and forthright citizen.
One of the first to leave however, is even MORE inappropriate....letting his, obviously out of control anger get him voted off by the others.....well done.
All of them are a disappointment had they been Canadian teens.....I certainly would have expected more work...less griping and skiving and in the case of....well you know who....downright CHEATING.
All in all, they DID do the work, albeit VERY SLOWLY and usually un-enthusiastically but I fear no REAL lessons were learned.
Money they earned working on the Prawns, for example...would have SERIOUSLY benefited one of they fellow LOCAL workers...struggling just to survive, but NO....they choose instead to eat some JUNK FOOD and prove they haven't grasped the cross-culture bridge at all....they aren't even able to see it from where they currently are.
OH well....lesson learned.....I guess.....well,, for us at least.
