Quotes

  • Sado : [suddenly]  Revenge is the justice of woe.

Max : [checks his watch]  Ten-thirty. Strange, no?

The Thief : Has he taken a vow, or is he just wacko?

  • The Professor : Memories are important.

The Thief : I prefer to forget.

  • Max : [casing the bank]  Standard security. Two shitty, out of date, black and white close-up TV cameras, and local staff. It's like breaking into a bag of pretzels.

The Thief : You can choke on a pretzel.

  • The Professor : I think, with the exception of needle point, I possess all of the accomplishments of a well-breed young woman educated at the end of the 19th century.

    [chuckles]

The Professor : Are you musical?

The Thief : I had a harmonica once.

  • The Thief : There are two kinds of people. I decide to side with those who are prepared for everything.

  • The Thief : It's poetry that gets you in the end. Without the words, it's all so forgettable.

  • The Thief : Don't you know how extraordinary you are? Look at yourself. There's so much to see. The older we get, the more precious we are. And that's what you've missed. You haven't understood that.

  • The Thief : [to his barber]  Hey, my life's been a prison, and I'm gettin' out now. And that's what I want to look like. Like I'm comin' out of prison.

  • The Thief : You don't lock it?

The Professor : No, why, do you think that's unwise? Nothing ever happens in a small town like this.
