- Liz suddenly becomes cool after she wins the crew lottery, Jack discovers that the microwave division has made the perfect microwave, and the writers play a prank on Pete after discovering that Jack's voice is used on a website.
- Jack worries that GE's microwave sales have improved too much without his help and tries to find glitches in their newest design. Meanwhile, Liz partakes in a crew lottery despite Jenna and Tracy's warning her not to do so. - Open with Liz telling Jenna she just got her grandfather's watch fixed. The crew has their lottery. Put in some cash and if your playing card gets pulled you win $1,000. Liz puts money in and Jenna quickly tells her the crew hates it when the cast participates.
After a pronunciation debate among the writers, they turn to the Internet and discover that Jack's voice is being used by a website.
Jack tells Liz the microwave quarterly report is coming out, probably his last before he moves on to Kabletown. He's been with the division for 25 years. Liz tells him about the website and Jack thinks the Princeton linguistics department must have sold the recordings he made while in college. Jack reveals that he's been working since he was 12-year old. Liz tells him a two-week period in college was the only time shes ever been popular in her life.
Liz wins the crew lottery and everyone boos. She quickly tells everyone that shes going to use the money to open a bar tab for the entire crew. They applaud.
The microwave had its best quarter in five years and Jack is worried because he wasn't as involved. Liz assures him that he hired everyone so it is because of him. The writers have Jack's voice saying things he hates (like saying that Obama is presidential).
Liz is greeted by smiles from all the crew. She tells Jenna and Tracy she feels like Hitler in Germany. She says she feels like those weeks in college. Jenna says Liz's role in college is the RA and this won't last.
The writers call Pete using Jack's voice. Fake Jack asks him to be friends and makes him do embarrassing things.
The crew is upset that the alcoholics among them weren't able to participate in the bar trip. Liz says she has something prepared for them.
Jack shows up at microwave R & D and is told there is a new microwave he knows nothing about. It is the perfect microwave. Jack takes one of them with him to find out what's wrong with it.
Jack seems to want to prove the microwave isn't as good as the designers think. Kenneth wonders whether this is really about Jack not being able to let go of his time at GE.
Liz buys ice cream for the crew. This goes well until they realize one member of the crew is a lactose-intolerant alcoholic. Liz gives him her grandfather's watch and the crew chants her name.
Fake Jack tells Pete he's lonely and invites him to his office to play guitar and drink canned beer.
Jack has Kenneth pour water on the microwave out on the ledge. It finally malfunctions.
Lutz is worried that nobody is stopping them from pranking Pete. He asks Liz to step in but she is no longer the RA.
Jack brings the microwave to R & D to brag about finding its problem. But he realizes that his time with microwaves is over and congratulates the guys on making the finest microwave he has ever seen.
Jack walks up to his office and finds Pete sitting there in a poncho waiting for him with a guitar. Though Jack wasn't expecting him, he tells Pete this is exactly what he needs on such a tough day. They start drinking beers and singing.
The crew is mad at Liz again, this time because they realize the watch she gave belonged to her grandfather. Jenna tells her that it's over and Liz snaps back into RA mode. She cancels the card game lottery and promises to fine anyone who plays football on the set.
Liz joins Jack and Pete's college moment in his office. She brings them a pizza and they toss her a beer. She says "Want to see me shotgun this?" and then starts to shotgun the entire pizza.
