Hyderabad, Nov 15: Actor Darsheel Safary, who made his cinematic debut with superstar Aamir Khan's "Taare Zameen Par", is certain that the latter's forthcoming movie "Dhoom 3" will be great.
"'Dhoom 3' will be awesome. He (Aamir) will play a villain for the first time. That's exciting. He looks good in the film," said Darsheel.
He believes he has become "less mischievous and more serious". The teenager has also acted in "Midnight's Children", "Zokkomon" and "Bumm Bumm Bole".
"I am still in touch with him. We speak on our birthdays. Even before boards he had called me up and said, 'Study hard and forget about.

Originally, Disney's Zokkomon was scheduled to debut in May of 2010 but it was held back to April due to scheduling conflicts with Bumm Bumm Bole, another film that stars child-actor Darsheel Safary. With almost a month away til its release, a trailer has debuted online. The verdict? Ho-hum was my immediate reaction. I know its a Disney production so I understand it must be clean and family friendly but wheres the cool superhero action? C'mon, they can do better than just a flying chair.Zokkomon is the thrilling and heart-warming live action adventure of an ordinary boy who finds the strength to face extraordinary challenges. Kunal, played by Darsheel Safary, is an orphaned boy, who discovers how cruel life is when he is abandoned by...

July 27, 2010: Khatta Meetha hasn’t lived up to the expectations from the content perspective. What was being sold entirely as a comedy has turned out to be a semi-humor-semi-drama affair. Even that would have been acceptable had the film being an engrossing watch. However, the fact remains that this is yet another loosely put together film by Priyadarshan, something which was the case with his last release Bumm Bumm Bole as well.
This is the reason why even though the film opened reasonably well (at around 70% occupancy, something which was predicted in this column last week) the word of mouth hasn’t.

Launched with much fanfare exactly two years back with a budget pegged at 25 crores, Raftaar 24X7 was one of those couple of dozen films which came into existence when the industry was at it's peak. The term recession had not yet made its presence felt and every reputed production house and actor was more than glad to make huge announcements. There was widespread excitement around the film since a 25 crore budget allocated by Percept Picture Company meant that Raftaar 24X7 was all set to be Emraan Hashmi's biggest venture till date. All seemed to be quite well during the earlier schedules of the film as first time filmmaker Shamim Desai joined the principal cast of Raftaar 24X7 in Maldives for a 'test shoot'. This was one of its kinds experiments as the week long trip worth Rs. 1.5 crore was planned to get the cast and the crew familiar with each other.

May 24, 2010: Priyadarshan now has one of the biggest flops ever of his Bollywood journey in the form of ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’ but surprisingly even the failure of the film hasn’t made any news whatsoever. Now this is even worse because it only goes on to show that no one even cared if this Darsheel Safary film found an audience for itself or not. The film was panned by critics, rejected by audience who bothered to watch it over the weekend and was totally off everyone’s mind as the week progressed.
Though many have questioned if releasing ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’ a week before ‘Kites’.

New Delhi, May 17 – Child actor Darsheel Safary, who earned kudos for his portrayal of a dyslexic child in Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’, has failed to attract footfalls with his latest outing ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’. Experts blame it on the lack of star power.
Produced by Percept Picture Company and directed by Priyadarshan, the movie also stars Atul Kulkarni, Rituparna Sengupta and newcomer child actor Ziyah Vastani.
”Bumm Bumm Bole’ is a very emotional movie. Darsheel has done a good role. The content is good.

Majid Majidi's Children Of Heaven comes down to earth in an endearing spiral of the spellbinding and the sensitive.
Let's not get unnecessarily and unjustly nostalgic about the original Iranian film. This remake, done up in shades of terrorism in the idyllic North-east (region unspecified) is so lyrically lush in its visuals and so gently evocative in treatment that the original material is forgotten ten minutes into the narrative.
A great deal of the credit for the film's immense intense but toned-down impact must go to the children, Darsheel Safary no longer the pouty buck-teethed moppet from Taare Zameen Par, and little Ziyah Vastani who's quite easily the most delightful new discovery of the year. Ziyah in fact steals many scenes from under her brilliant co-star's nose. If he minds it, he doesn't show it.

May 17, 2010: The biggest release of the week was ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’ and as predicted last week, this Priyadarshan directed film couldn’t even manage a 20% opening. A total reject from the paying junta, the film was also (rightly) thrashed by the critics because of it’s half backed treatment. It turned out to be a barely average film and that was a pity because a lot more was expected from the combination of Priyadarshan and Darsheel Safary.
There were all the right reason to expect a heart warming film which could have possibly resulted in moist eyes and smile on the lips. However, what.
