As Red prepares for the battle at the house, she puts on a full metal gauntlet on her left arm and a partial leather gauntlet on her right arm. During the fight with Gabriel, she jumps from an upper level onto him still wearing both gauntlets. In the next scene she has retreated to an upper level and is shown removing the leather gauntlet but the metal gauntlet is already gone.
When Red and Nathan arrive at her grandmother's house, the moon is only half full. But a day or two later, the moon is full. Each of the moon's phases generally last a week.
Red's family has been hunting werewolves for a long enough time that they have a cage in the basement. Yet the cage is so weak that the boyfriend only bangs on the bars a couple of times and the door pops open.
FBI agents Nathan and Virginia arrive at the family home in a truck belonging (presumably) to one or the other of them, with Vermont plates. There is no FBI field office in Vermont.
In werewolf lore they change shape when the full moon rises. However, the boyfriend says he can feel the change coming on, then looks out the window and we can see that the moon has already risen high into the sky. He is then shown locked in the cage in the basement and he still hasn't changed yet.
When first discussing how to kill werewolves, Virginia says the only way is to pierce the heart with silver. Once the heart is penetrated, the wolf's body ignites.
Later, Nathan shoots a werewolf in the foliage. It staggers out, holding its stomach... and ignites.
