A layered and smart film
guisreis15 May 2021
Excellent and smart script, with great acting and direction, in a movie which travels through many genres (war film, documentary, dance film, comedy of manners, road movie, drama, political film...) and explores the memories and heritages of civil war in Nicaragua (and impact in Costa Rica). In the beginning there is a search for an absent character, and the three female Costa Rican relatives and we spectators find information through divergent testimonies. Afterwards, the character himself becomes the core of the rest of the movie, and he is a quite interesting one.
