The Flaming Lips and some "fwends" have taken on the songs of The Beatles' "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band," and first up is an iconic little song with Miley Cyrus and Moby. Click here to listen to Miley Cyrus, Moby and Flaming Lips cover "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." Cyrus obviously bends her voice to fit the psychedelic trip on this one; but a trained singer singing purposely flat hurts my widdle hawt. It's nice to hear her step outside her wheelhouse, and, judging from the little blips of in-studio banter inserted at the beginning and end, she had at least a little fun. As you'll see the song is conveniently located on the pre-order page for the set, officially dubbed "With a Little Help From My Fwends," a title you will be embarrassed to say aloud, guaranteed. The Oklahoma-founded group has gone the way of PledgeMusic for this release,...

After the shocking elimination of Curtis on the March 14 episode, the top 9 took the stage again to fight for the top spot. But not everyone was happy with their performance.
The fab 9 took the stage to sing songs from the fab four, The Beatles, in front of judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson. There were tears among the joy — who took the top spot tonight, HollywoodLifers? Vote below.
First off, the winner of the 11th spot on the Idol tour was Aubrey Cleland, who beat out Charlie Askew.
The Top 9 Sing The Beatles
Kree Harrison sang “With A Little Help From My Friends.” Keith said: “You’re bluesy and soulful and country, I don’t think you’ll have any trouble getting through tonight.” Mariah said: “I thought it was fan-freaking-tastic!”
Burnell Taylor sang “Let It Be.” He didn’t know the song at all! Randy...

Tonight the American Idol Top 9 take on the Fab 4 in what is one of my personal favorite theme nights: The Lennon-McCartney song book.
Before we can get to the singing and the judging and, you know, the actual point of tonight, we have to get the results of last week's sing-off between Charlie Askew and Aubrey Cleland. Kieran dims the lights and in an unsurprising announcement, we learn that Aubrey Cleland will be headed out on tour. I truly don't think Charlie Askew would've survived the tour emotionally, so this is good news.
Now, back to The Beatles. Finally.
Leading off the night is Kree Harrison. She's never performed a Beatles song and chooses "With A Little Help From My Friends," which was a favorite of her late father's. This girl has a gift for song selection. She knows her voice and her style and I think in any genre...

Last year director Robert Zemeckis started work on his 3D motion capture CG animated film Yellow Submarine based of the classic album and animated film from The Beatles. He had cast Cary Elwes to play George Harrison, Dean Lennox Kelly to play John Lennon, Peter Serafinowicz to play Paul McCartney and Adam Campbell to play Ringo Starr. It doesn't look like the movie is going to happen anytime soon.
Accroding to THR Disney has killed the film project due to the poor performance of Mars Needs Moms this past weekend, which Zemekis produced through his Image Movers. The $150 million dollar CGI animated movie only made $6.9 million at the box office. It 's also reported that there were budget issues as well. But it was the Mars box office return that put the final nail in the coffin. That was a huge loss!
