I found the series about the life of Cristobal Balenciaga very entertaining.
The struggle to become the king of high fashion, the genius craftman and visionary artist, and the end of the maison are parts of the series .
I enjoyed the way the deeper elements of his character unfold.
I enjoyed the acting and directing I think some parts could be more "dramatised" for entertaining purposes similar to the "genius" series but maybe it was better this way to match the contained and disciplined character of Cristobal.
I strongly recommend the series not only to fashion enthusiasts. Is entertaining, and a show with depth that makes the viewer to think of Cristobal and how or why was like this.
It makes me sad to see the company Balenciaga is like this today with the gothic and aggressively exaggerated pieces of Demna or the controversial advertisements, of due to which I am sure Cristobal would not even start tailoring if he was aware of this.
