What a great film. It is obvious that this filmmaker has a great deal of talent. It is a very simple story with a strong emotional impact. Unlike many short films that try to tackle epic subject matter this film doesn't feel forced or overly dramatic. It reveals much about humanity and how it deals with loss and change. The minimalist tendencies in design and cinematography compliment the subject matter and the somewhat anti-climactic ending really accentuates the tone of the film. The way the film highlights small moments between certain people and specific idiosyncrasies is great. I would recommend it to any festival or film connoisseur that is looking for a lovely but powerful film.
