Chancel Mbemba arrived at St James’ Park in style last weekend.
The former Anderlecht defender wore a James Bond-inspired tuxedo as he entered St James’ Park two hours before Newcastle United were set to play Southampton.
But the 21-year-old has now revealed that he bought the outfit from Next for just £158 after Steve McClaren insisted that all the players “need to look sharp on match days.”
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the Magpies’ new signing said:
“Every player needs to look smart before the game, we were told.
“So I bought the first suit I saw and it was the one I wanted to wear.”
The slick entrance certainly made him stand out from the crowd and Newcastle fans have immediately warmed to the central defender who also put in a dapper performance on the pitch.

As always the mighty Muse sure know how to wow the crowd and blow the roof off the place, and performing at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium on the 1st of June 2013 goes, it was no exception!
It was the last of the 4 UK stadium (Coventry’s Ricoh Arena and Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium twice being the other UK stadium venues) gigs to be played live on the current tour, The 2nd Law tour, at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium and, apart from a few drunken people trying to ruin it for everyone else that just wanted to have a good time, it was a very good music event all round. Bastille took to the stage first, playing most of their songs from their debut album “Bad Blood”, including the title track “Bad Blood”, latest single “Laura Palmer” and their smash hit single “Pompeii” which they ended the set with.

We’re on the battlefield of pop and two well-preened armies are looming around each other like preying vultures. On the left hand side you have One Direction, five young lads with floppy hair and cheeky grins who like running on the beach. Favorite word – Na (three times). Weakness – Flip your hair and find out. They’ve tackled the Battle of Koala-STDs and are engaged in an ongoing uprising from contenders to the throne One Direction Us. On the right hand side you have The Wanted, five not-as-young lads with stubble who love capitalisation and to party. Their syllable of choice? The powerful, destructive Oh. Weakness – Lightning and/or being rejected by hot women. Now, both have made an early stab at world domination starting with the American field – The Wanted get a top 5 hit, One Direction get a top 5 hit – it was neck and neck. Now times have changed...

Apparently, it's never supposed to stop snowing (at least in the immediate area of MTV News headquarters in New York), which means that getting to your local movie theater could be something of a challenge this weekend. But you should really go out of your way to try to take in some cinema over the next few days, as not only do you have a fresh batch of Oscar nominees to catch up with (including "127 Hours," which goes wide this weekend after several months in limited release) but also a fresh batch of new titles. As far as the Oscar stuff goes, now is your opportunity to catch Javier Bardem's performance in "Biutiful," which earned him a nomination for Best Actor. (The film was also nominated in the Best Foreign Language category.) Away from the Oscar race, there's Anthony Hopkins battling the devil in "The Rite," the "Sense and Sensibility...

Look sharp Better Off Ted fans, we have something special for you today, thanks to the folks at 20th Century Fox, the studio behind our favorite little work sitcom. In this week's episode of Better Off Ted, Veridian Dynamics sends out a memo that is meant to demand that employees Not speak offensively to one another. However, a typo causes the memo to instead read that employees should Now speak offensively to one another. While filming the episode the production did some wild "not safe for TV" takes in which they Really went for it in offensiveness and "bad" language. If you're easily offended you might want to sit this little video out, but if you can take it, check it out and enjoy these off color out-takes. Hearing Lem say to Phil, "You mouse humping piece of shit," is one of my favorite lines, although hearing Ted call Linda...
