It is so rare to find in short French films such a vintage story, I guess inspired from actual events. If not, why placing this tale in 1978? Any way, true or not, this scheme is of course something that happens every year, and many times. An escaped child who joins a sect. LES EBLOUIS, a French film made several years ago, also evoked this issue that concerns so many families. This is well made, gloomy, realistic at a scale it is scary. It may happen to any family.... Lea Drucker is perfect in this mother role and Samuel le Bihan also in a surprising performance. A story that could have made a good film.
