Una noche loca en Barcelona
canalmirta1 February 2011
After watching the movie I had the feeling I had lived something of the kind, but I can not describe it, kinda weird like exploring inner thoughts. It's more a romance existentialist movie than a real comedy, it made me smile and laughs couple of times but I liked it.

The beautiful partnership and friendship between girls in the movie is the best, imo. Nice kicks about being at your lowest and being able to fall deeper ha ha ha. it reminds somehow some Woody Allen movies with a surrealistic Fellini touch, or absurd theater. That freak gallery is unbelievable, unpayable but you can meet up with those wandering around the Raval in Barcelona. The lad with the bouquet deserves an whole movie just for himself . Is the soundtrack available somewhere? I would like to know if there will be a sequel, just like to keep on walking with them

"Very few things in life come up as you want and nothing is what it looks like but anyhow, anytime everything can change"
alexiamuin23 January 2011
HELENA, a former photographer and design artist converted into an accountant, finds out her love life is a sham but she can hardly face it. She catches her boyfriend with a beautiful and fascinating woman and she is unable to confront him after seven years of being together.

Shocked and distraught she wanders around with her camera, trying to get over it, capturing people as lost as her. Randomly she runs into the Woman, so she makes up her mind, she wants to know everything about her. The Chase is just started up. Things get mixed up when charming boyfriend Max, a wannabe composer, wakes up in the middle of the night missing her fiancée. He gets worried and thrown himself to the streets in order to find her. How many lost souls hang around in a summer night? NOCHE TRANSFIGURADA is a love entanglement about human relations and relationships, about taking control of your life when you are at your lowest, but things can always get worse.

NOCHE TRANSFIGURADA is a melting pot of strangers, even though they have met before, of people connecting in a low moment of their lives. While trying to get rid of her troubles and release her grief, HELENA will meet up with many people who want to talk about their lives and projects as well and somehow all these experiences help her to understand and take things easy. Love, friendship, loyalty, faithfulness and prejudice intermingle as hours go by, night gets dark but in the end, everything looks clear at sunrise.

NOCHE TRANSFIGURADA explores a different approach and the city conceived as a labyrinth of people hunting others.

Some inspiration from Arnold Schönberg homonymous music (sextet for strings, transfigured Night) and the idea of using slapstick and screwball elements were on director's mind.
