Against all odds, the Mojin Trio - Bayi, Shirley, and Kaixuan - set out to the Worm Valley in the rainforest of southwest China. Arriving at the indigenous village, they find a not-so-warm welcome.
Setting out from Village Dragonsbane, the Trio intend to enter the Worm Valley by water under Mount Dragonsbane. The local tribe, however, do not like outsiders in their territory.
Escaping the piranha under Mount Dragonsbane, the Trio find themselves beset by what seem to be ghosts from the past. Meanwhile, the relationship between Bayi and Shirley is heating up.
Approaching the Worm Valley, the Trio encounter ever more bizarre worms and the poisonous mist that decades earlier blinded Chen. The local tribe, on the other hand, will not give up their hunt so easily.
Behind the dilapidated mountain temple, the Trio find a hidden passageway into the relics of Ancient Yunnan, leaving behind the tribe from Village Dragonsbane for the time being. However, it seems that they are not alone.
The Trio explore the nether chamber of King Xian, finding more coffins than what they have expected - one sealed by bronze and powerful artifacts, one wrapped in the most precious wood, and one bizarrely short.
In search of Mu Chen Gem, the Trio brave the last and most powerful traps of King Xian, including a hypnotizing relievo, a swarm of poisonous moth, and the tomb itself.
Unable to solve the mystery of Mu Chen Gem, Bayi is enlightened by the trigram of a peer master, and turns his attention to look for answers in Mount Kunlun.
