Lucas North is installing a bug in a meeting room. Ros Meyers, testing the signal strength of the bug, says to Lucas "Okay, liking the frequency, Kenneth."
This is a reference to an incident in 1986, where former CBS newscaster Dan Rather was assaulted by a man who kept demanding to know "Kenneth, what is the frequency?"
The "Pakistani" ships shown in the opening sequence are the USS Chancellorsville (CG-62) and USS New Orleans (LPH-11). The "Indian" submarine is a British Vanguard-class.
Bookends.
When the character of Ros was introduced, her perfume was of importance in enabling Adam to resist her seduction.
In her final appearance, she talks about her perfume.
